The thing that bums me out most about this is that Ridley, Boyega and Isaac are all stellar actors who I genuinely think have given great performances and were perfect casting for Star Wars sequels, only to have them not do anything particularly compelling with the characters. I really believe that Disney's mismanagement of the franchise completely squandered a ton of potential.

Thinking about how much more satisfied people would be, even if it was only slightly, if Kylo Ren meeting Sheev for the first time had gone down with him asking how he's still alive, and Palpatine chuckles and says "Have you ever heard of the Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?" and it just cuts to the next scene from there.
