AlternateAccount posted:Or maybe for your big predictable trilogy, you write all the poo poo out before you start filming the first one. Episode IX should have at least had a lengthy treatment with all major plot beats defined thoroughly before shooting began on Episode VII. So what happens when they do all that work and Carrie Fisher still dies before shooting IX?

Payndz posted:Most of the stormtroopers in the hangar scene were part of a matte painting. There's about 50 officers (because they're harder to paint realistically than faceless guys in armour), and maybe ten real troopers on the front row where Sheev and his guards walk past them. Everyone else is painted.

That's a real thing in our lives that we just watched. And, we get to see the next episode later this week, and the rest of the first season all before the end of the year. Talk about a gift from the Star Wars gods. Has anyone gotten mad they didn't call the space ship's bathroom a "refresher" yet?

Everyone is celebrating and she walks up out of the blue, never seen this guy before in her life and just asks him “where are you from, General?” He tells her then asks her where she is from. She says she doesn’t know. He smiles and says “let’s find out”. And the shot lingers on them for a bit and it’s really awkward. Did they cut out Lando mentioning having a kid that was abducted by the First Order?
