Or maybe for your big predictable trilogy, you write all the poo poo out before you start filming the first one. Episode IX should have at least had a lengthy treatment with all major plot beats defined thoroughly before shooting began on Episode VII.

Most of the stormtroopers in the hangar scene were part of a matte painting. There's about 50 officers (because they're harder to paint realistically than faceless guys in armour), and maybe ten real troopers on the front row where Sheev and his guards walk past them. Everyone else is painted.

Wow. There's a live-action Star Wars TV show, everybody. And it ended with a Mandalorian killing an IG bounty hunter droid to save a baby Yoda. Like, seriously. That's a real thing in our lives that we just watched. And, we get to see the next episode later this week, and the rest of the first season all before the end of the year. The dynamic between Rey & Kylo was nothing more than "BE EVIL WITH ME" "NO!" "COME ON, BE EVIL WITH ME" "NO!"

Kylo still gets redemption, but mostly because of nostalgia for his childhood home, where the climax of the movie happens.

So, looking at this, it appears he's going to get a story by credit because of the introduction of Leia's lightsaber, and the Sith/Red stormtroopers got carried over.

Not much. He also has a really weird interaction with a resistance fighter/ex-storm trooper (like Finn) at the end of the movie. Everyone is celebrating and she walks up out of the blue, never seen this guy before in her life and just asks him “where are you from, General?” He tells her then asks her where she is from. She says she doesn’t know. He smiles and says “let’s find out”. And the shot lingers on them for a bit and it’s really awkward.
