I disliked RLM before it was cool to do so. Seriously though, to each his own, but I've never found them funny. I studied one year or movie production and there was a lot of them thrown about in my social media feed. Only time I was really entertained by them was when they ripped apart Jack & Jill.

I thought it was fine, if a bit uneven. The characters were the strongest part of it, and I liked most of them. My girlfriend had a lot of fun with all the silly Star Wars aliens at the poker game, so that's good at least.

While I didn't really like the whole name thing, the execution of it wasn't nearly as cringy as the idea itself. Not to me anyway.

Listening to the soundtrack now and yeah, this is probably the best music from a Disney era SW. Listening now to the movie’s take on the classic Tie Fighter attack score from ANH and it’s absolutely fantastic. Incredibly energetic. Seen Solo twice now. I actually think it’s pretty good, warts and all. There are some very awkward editing at times but I’ve seen much worse. I feel bad that this is bombing. All things considered, I think it’s interesting enough to warrant sequels.

An actual sequel to this movie could be Han and Chewie heading out to find and rescue Chewie’s family, who ends up dying in the end. And thus, the Holiday special is finally obliterated from canon.

As I said: his quest for his family could totally be a good movie. It would also be pretty cool because the fact that he’s sticking with Han throughout the years implies that they’re gone, which is a shade of dark we’re not used to see in Star Wars...yet.

Rewatched TLJ recently. Only things that really bothered me were flying Leia (not the worst idea but it looks real goofy) and the child actors at Casino-planet. Goddamn are them children bad, with or without lines.

Someone on reddit suggested they’re looking for kyber crystals so Rey can craft her own lightsaber, which is why they’re heading for the second Death Star. Sounds interesting, but I personally doubt it.
