There’s that resistance cartoon which I’ve approximately zero people ever talk about.

When the first episode of that came out, Amazon accidentally listed the entire season for $3 so I bought it.

I watched maybe half of the first episode and was so loving bored.

Chewbacca was way scragglier in TFA. Dunno why Abrams seemed to retcon something from his own movie.

There is a non-zero chance that the new season of Clone Wars will have a Palpatine romance subplot.

Snoke was a lot more interesting when he was just some Palpatine cosplayer. Like a hermit crab but with Emperors.

I love the story arc of Clone Wars where that frog man takes some droids on a secret mission behind enemy lines. He goes from using them as tools to validating their personhood.

It's also hilarious when he's going insane from dehydration. Whoever his voice actor was must have been having the time of his life.

Oh yeah. I finished my latest watch through of the Clone Wars up to the new season. I'll start that soon.

In the second to last episode of season 6, Yoda fights Shadow Yoda, which was essentially Gollum. That was vaguely funny given how intertwined they were as digital characters in early 200s blockbuster movie franchises.

Didn't Clone Wars finish like 5 or 6 years ago?

They're doing a final season which is looking to end right where Episode III began. I haven't seen it yet, but based on the trailer, it looks like it'll with (Spoiling the two Clone Wars specific things Rex and his platoon ripping out their Order 66 brain chips, Ahsoka returning in some capacity, and Anakin and Padme hiding their pregnancy.

I do wonder if it'll end with Palpatine getting abducted by Grevious and Dooku. That's how the original 2D Clone Wars cartoon ended.

Maybe Gungan society views food as a basic Gungan right, so he is shocked that a society would even charge any money for food in the first place.

The Zillo Beast 2-parter of Clone Wars really shows Palpatine indulging himself in shameless, joyous evil. It's a terrific episode, not just for that but for being a good homage to King Kong.

I just finished Solar Opposites on Hulu. It wasn't bad. The last episode had a Phantom Menace parody sequence. Which got me thinking, I don't remember the last time I saw a Prequel parody in mainstream media. The OT had been parodied to death through mainstream movies and shows, as well as having a fan film industry for a while. But the PT never got that treatment. I'm sure part of that is due to how it never reached the same pop culture impact as the OT had, that would have been impossible. And the bad reputation they have, but that's currently been being rehabilitated (but not for the reasons Disney intended).

But you go on the internet and there's no end to the memes, fan videos, and the like. Revenge of the Sith came out right around the birth of YouTube. I'm sure it all shifted there and memes.

Oh, and here's a video of Kermit the Frog as Palpatine.

Surely it isn't the most derided Star Wars movie any more. I mean, episode 9 has only been out like 7 months, but...

Episode 9 is clearly the worst Star War, but it's a Disney Star War which makes it disposable in the same way an Ant Man or a Doctor Strange movie is.

Good or bad, AoTC struck with people in a way that blockbusters rarely do anymore.

MGS ripped Star Wars off a lot. Despite JJ being friends with Kojima, Star Wars only ever had one nod back to MGS with C-3PO's red arm. Star Wars really could have used a Revolver Ocelot.

I think the only that was keeping a new Star Trek movie from happening was them not wanting to pay Pine and Hemsworth enough money. They seemingly have moved on with Discovery and the upcoming Pike spinoff show. I watched Into Darkness for the first time since the theater a couple weeks ago. I forgot how early the murked Pike.
