There's a Secret President who actually runs the US, he's selected by a shadow cabinet and the person we see as President is just a puppet there for show, selected by the shadow government. If you try and break out of this cycle they just have you killed, like with JFK. Trump is the first guy who didn't know this going into the race, and now he's going even more insane because his brain can't process the idea that he didn't really win poo poo or accomplish anything as President.

There is an Area 51 (or the equivalent) and the US does have some alien tech, although nothing as interesting as you'd believe from movies and TV. The closest this ever came to being revealed was that guy who called Art Bell years ago and claimed to be a former Area 51 employee and started talking about the aliens being "extradimensional beings". That guy was just pranking Art, but his fake story was close enough to the truth that the US Government freaked out and had Art's satellite shut down to be sure this wasn't a real Area 51 employee revealing secrets. There's been a constant disinformation campaign for decades to tie every crazy conspiracy theory to Area 51, including intentionally sending "Men in Black" (who are really just low level military guys) to hassle people who thought they saw UFOs. That way they can do poo poo like test high powered engines and more efficient light bulbs without anybody caring.

There was a super advanced civilization several thousand years ago, with technology about on par with the early 1900s. They helped facilitate a lot communication breakthroughs, some early travel between continents, and a lot of their technology was spread around the world to help advance society. They ended up experimenting with powering their cities from the energy of a volcano. This ended up backfiring, they destroyed their whole city, and the legends of their society became the stories of Atlantis. Their technology fell into disrepair around the world, and even if we found it now we'd have no idea what it was or what it was used for.
