 This is the thread for tempered thoughts and not getting hyped about the upcoming arpg biomutant which looks amazing...but i mean its way too early at this stage to tell if it will be good or not. So lets all post sensibly about this game that will maybe be really good if we don't get our hopes up too much, i hope...i mean i DONT hope, cuz that would be dumb! heh! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tge3RzHNaMY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAPpJWI4eIo   this open world arpg, under development at THQ Nordic, features a custom, small, fuzzy protagonist designed by you the player, and features weapon crafting, mech piloting, flying and a whole host of genetic mutations and cybernetic enhancements available to the player. The combat and general setting apparently will draw a lot from classic wuxia novels and films, slow motion gun fu seems to play a role in combat.    a perhaps too hyped preview from forbes, lets all get control of ourselves here  ugh release date not set but they are apparently shooting for some time this year. but that'll never happen, i bet!

It's being made by a bunch of ex-Avalanche people, so the sandbox part of it should be good, at least.

this game allows you to mark your territory by peeing in pre determined spots in the open world, however that is of course no reason to get excited for this game yet and im sure that particular mechanic will most likely be removed before release

THQ Nordic, in a thoroughly reasonable attempt to allay the early hype and expectations surrounding BIOMUTANT, has pushed the release date back into 2019. Excellent work on their part. slightly more worrisome is that they will have another playable demo at gamescom next month, and they built a  if anyone attends gamescom and plays the demo please DONT share your impressions as any interesting tidbits could lead to a raising of expectations on my part
