Main event ruled but they're gonna reach a point sooner or later where people stop believing Finn winning big matches is anything but a fluke.

Balor would be a great MITB winner, but he does not win matches, and they need to get the WWE title on Miz somehow for Miz/Bryan

All-time bad segment kept that Raw from being as awful as some of the recent ones. Because at least something memorable happened.

Sami agreed to do that segment and I don't know how to accept that.

The #2 heel on Raw has to resort to admitting he LIKES the top face and encouraging the audience to cheer for him in order to get heel heat.

Cabbit posted:Sami agreed to do that segment and I don't know how to accept that. Probably didn't have much of a choice if he wanted to keep his job. New Japan doesn't really have a lot of free roster spots for foreigners right now so there isn't much freedom of you don't want to do indies or work for ROH

I see Seth was getting too over with his great IC Title matches so they threw a Jinder-shaped missile in there to drag him back down to earth.

After catching up on the WCW thread, remind me how WWE has been getting away with this for who knows how long, while WCW ended up destroying itself within three years once the hot period ended? The 2010's seem to be a decade of 'we told you there would be consequences, but in reality there never are'.

No major competitor to draw away viewers and no corporate leadership that actively dislikes the product in the first place. Also, WWE is making money rather than losing millions per year like WCW was.

with the other dumb booking, I feel we're not giving enough attention to Ronda and Nia being incredibly easily manipulated by someone they both know is a heel ...and that Nia's "evil plot" is that she wants to win her match, which for some reason REALLY upsets Ronda

Cabbit posted:Monopolies are (supposed to be) illegal for a reason. Does WWE really qualify as a monopoly though? I thought a true monopoly was actively trying to control the whole market. With wrestling it's more 'no competition can make a dent'. I mean, let's enter a fantastic magical alternate world where in 2004 Dixie Carter was a financing and booking genius and Jeff Jarrett fell and hit his head and had the 'run a wrestling company' equivalent of a flux capacitor idea. I think that would be the only world where TNA could have grown to be a true alternative: otherwise no company has the finances (and brainpower) to even come close.
