!!!8 Days till what should be a good drive!!!!! Here are the details, lets try to meet at 8-8:30 AM here: https://goo.gl/maps/qrYAQNjjLvN2 Here is the route (https://goo.gl/maps/nSiUX19pkTw), estimated time should be 3 hours tops (156 miles). There will be gas stations along the way (So that means bring your dam GTR). Should finish up a little before noon and i figured we could grab some killer burger. Hoping we can get a good turn out.

I haven't drive it much lately so I have been itching to take it out. Just got a new wide angle review mirror so I can see the blindspots better in the GTR. The CRX is still at the mechanic anyways.

There is a bank parking lot right next to the chevron, I might be parked there because it is bigger. Drove some of the roads yesterday, going to make a small change to the route. This allows for people to branch off at three spots (if you don't want to do the whole loop), I figure we can take an extended break in a town called Northwoods, and we can decide if we want to head back the way we came or finish the loop. I would say eat something before just in case, Vancouver does not have the greatest breakfast scene for eating out. Also I bought a nice 5 gallon gas can today just in case, it will be coming with us.

We drove, we bottomed out, I got the group lost: The Goon Story It started out like any other Saturday, a motley crew of four goons met up to go drive some cars and stuff.  We set off on our route: https://goo.gl/maps/Kifx7GE1soP2. Driving was good got stuck behind some slow cars for some fun bits but overall was enjoying the ride. As we ventured farther into the national forest, the roads slowly became worse and worse. The wash out led to many a bottoming out. The group sustained a few casualties, what was left of my sub frame bushings have left this earth now, I might have a bent control arm on the passenger rear, and Spyder had to say good bye to the RX7s pillowball mounts  . But then it got worse, I started seeing signs for Mt St Helens and the town of Randal Washington. We pulled over where that picture was taken and we were here (more or less): https://goo.gl/maps/Vt2KqgSxJ242. I had missed the turn to head south about 30 minutes ago . So in true goon fashion I had royal screwed the pooch on the inaugural PDX Goon Drive. Our new route was this one: https://goo.gl/maps/Wsnm3RAEVkn.Nothing like adding 2 hours to a trip amirite!?!?!? The other three were Loanarn, Oshata, and Spyder. All very cool dudes with some nice rides. Gonna keep trying to get a bigger group going places, and also for the mid week west hills pdx runs. Also here is another cool pic i took (then messed with sliders for fun):   Spyders RX7 is such a good looking car, easily one of the top five best looking cars imo period. Drive was fun. We should head to the coast some time. In less good news: My car appears slightly dead. The AC compressor started making a rather awful noise and seized just outside of PDX. I made it home and haven't even had a chance to touch the car since.

Tentatively I was thinking 9/29/2018 (a Saturday). It would be cool to get a contingent of goons to join.
