Yes. And maybe I'll get an answer as to why American bread is more like cake than what the rest of the world understands as bread.

Also growing up my mom always kept bread in the fridge. As a grown-rear end adult IT IS SO MUCH BETTER KEPT ON THE COUNTER.

Bookman's loving owns.

A couple of years ago I found some credit hidden in a box from books I had traded into them in Tucson back in 2004 or so. They didn't even bat an eye at it.

It's always a trip hearing about people learning to swim in hs/college, my parents were giving me swimming lessons in like hotel pools by age 2. I literally do not remember not knowing how to swim.

I remember going to swim lessons, including one (at a very young age) where I was thrown in the pool fully clothed and against my will... but yeah, I have no recollection of not being able to swim at all.

Of course one of the few things it seems my kid can't do is actually swim. Doesn't help that most of the time she spends in the pool is at my mom's house, who insists on floaties / life vest instead of getting her past her hangups. Need to get her in some proper lessons.

While I dislike unnecessary namby-pamby laws made to protect the dumb I totally get the Australian law about pools being fenced off, young kids drown too easily.

I legit don't even want my own pool just because of the liability. Unfortunately the vast majority of houses that I'd want to move into (i.e. bigger and on a lot with some actual room) already have one, so yes it would absolutely be getting a fence.

Can I get away with replacing the condenser and drier myself and having a shop vac the system and fill it? Or should I suck it up and get a set of gauges and a vacuum pump? Also, will I have to figure out the oil thing if I don’t see any leaked out? Should I just measure how much was in the condenser and add that much back?

Consider that the gauge manifold and vacuum pump can be had inexpensively, and that's the easiest part of working on that system.

Also double check that you do actually have a leak there, but otherwise that plan is solid.

If nothing else I love how reliable SSDs have proven to be. One of my fileservers boots up on an ancient Samsung OEM SSD that I bought used on eBay for next to nothing, and while SMART screams about the wear leveling... it still works and still has 30% of the original "extra" space left.

Win10 is very nice. My only issue with it is that it sort of cheats on booting in that you have to take extra steps to make the computer *really* shut down, but that's hardly the end of the world. It's not like I'm diving into the BIOS anymore unless something fucks up.

The entire way through K-12, I only had three teachers who could qualify as "bad but unfireable". One was double-unfireable because of medical issues, one just sucked rear end, and one was so awful he wrapped back around to awesome. I learned a great many thing in his class, but very little of it was about the actual subject of English.
