I love Big Baskteball... It's the end of the NBA season, so of course that means there are only two possible teams that can be left standing. And they are...  I believe this is the ninth year in a row these two have met in the NBA Finals, but don't quote me on that. How did the Warriors get here? Well, they're the Warriors. They "slumped" to a 58-24 regular season record, the #2 seed in the Western Conference, and had a Steph Curry injury to worry about the start of the Western Conference playoffs. However, they whooped the Spurs and Pelicans in short order before they were taken to the brink by Houston in the Western Conference Finals. The Warriors came through in Game Seven, after their Jedi mind tricks caused the Rockets to miss approximately 273 straight three-pointers. It might have been the saddest thing I've ever seen. How the Cavaliers get here? Who the gently caress knows. Their roster right now is basically LeBron James, the very sexy Larry Nance Junior, and ten lumps of poo poo who spent large portions of the season and the playoffs doing replacement-level work. I said this might as well be the Thirteenth Labor of Hercules, and I mean that. Name another player in NBA history who could have polished this turd and put a Finals stamp on it. There isn't one. Of course, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the fact that, once again, Cleveland took Toronto out behind the playoff woodshed and beat them to death. Honestly I think LeBron does it just for fun. I know what you're all thinking: how the hell does Cleveland have a chance? Well, they have LeBron, and they have...LeBron. Also they have LeBron. The Warriors? Well we know them well enough by this point. The only question is if they can stay healthy for this series, as some of Steph Curry's old injury issues popped up during the season and the team as a whole hasn't looked as invincible as in years past. We all want a really competitive and fun series. I'm pessimistic, but hell you never know. Maybe LeBron averages 50/15/15 to push this to seven games. Maybe Draymond Green tries to kick a player in the face, misses, and hits a child. Maybe California breaks off and falls into the ocean. Maybe Tristan Thompson can hook the Warriors players up with heretofore unknown Kardashians. Maybe the three-pointer is outlawed between games two and three.
