I honestly think I would have played Anthem for maybe a month more if its load times were anywhere remotely close to, like, at least sort of being tolerable. Three minute load screen > appear in map > oh two teammates are already halfway finished with the mission > gets warped to their location, another two minutes of loading > fight a handful leftover enemies > oops the mission is done

Probably a mix of people who genuinely give a poo poo and want to do their best to make a better version and some people whose other option is find employment elsewhere in the industry because they're that low on the totem pole. I like Anthem. I never played it, mind you, but I like it because it spawned this thread, and that's a good thing imo. I also learned a lot about making bread. So Anthem is good imo. Especially if you never played it. Still want to know what happened to the baby gay skeleton in the drawer.

When Spark started the meltdown, someone bought them the skull AV. The weirdest part of the combo system imo was the wizard suit's ultimate move. Most attacks either prime or trigger a combo, dealing huge damage, but each of the ultimate's three attacks both primed and triggered a combo in a huge AOE in one click. It looked cool but mechanics-wise seemed totally worthless
