I enjoyed the X2 and Bonk runs, but I wouldn't say they're must-see. Edit: I'm sad that halfcoordinated's run is at 1 AM, because he consistently puts out entertaining runs. Loved his Nier and Vanquish runs in previous GDQs.

Speedrunning a roguelike/roguelite in a "normal" setting usually involves playing extremely aggressively until the dice all come up in your favour. That's fine if you can just reset a bad attempt, but GDQs only give you one chance to pull it off. He should have accounted for the marathon constraints and played it safe instead of going for the fastest time. In the end, no one remembers whether your victory took 15 or 20 minutes, but they'll remember if you lose. Not that I want to be too harsh on the guy. He was clearly nervous and being a good sport about the fiasco, so more power to him.

Another one that is promising is TASBot plays F-Zero GX by talented authors Friday night. I watched DwangoAC previewing some of the runs, and they get literally beyond comprehension on some tracks.

The Dragon Warrior IV was pretty fun, even though there was some setbacks. I enjoy the runs that go in-depth into the mechanics. It doesn’t beat DW1 from the last AGDQ.

Great run in general anyways, although the pedestal clip pain was tough. He pushed through the pressure well though.

Yeah, I think "bid war for which skin everyone will get in DLC for a random game" was a bit too much for folks to parse in the moment. I hope there'll be more hyping it up as a lead-in to the Prey run on Thursday evening, I definitely enjoy developer interaction with GDQs in all its forms.
