It feels like a light season to me (as did last season) mostly because instead of like a dozen shows I potentially will like and want to watch there are 2-3 stand-outs and a whole bunch of stuff I have zero interest in, which tbh is probably an easier season for me to actually keep up with and not be overwhelmed so I don't mind. I suppose it's really more like a *normal* season for me since the ones where I want to watch literally all the shows are fairly rare but have been more frequent recently because it feels like the audience(s) I fall into are getting more attention lately.

I don't really have any issue passing judgement on a piece of media based on summaries/artwork/opinions of people I trust without having to watch it though, and I know a lot of folks are the complete opposite. It's usually less "this is a stinker" and more "this is probably not a thing I'm gonna like" but some things are clearly bad in ways that are evident with only the most passing scrutiny so I don't see why I should waste time confirming what I already am like 99% sure of. The times that I've tried to give things the benefit of the doubt and watched or read them generally have reinforced my initial judgement, although a few notable ones have surprised me by being bad in different and worse ways than I expected lol

we have had this conversation before and I don't particularly care for how you insist everyone will like things just because you do. I read roughly 10 chapters which was extremely generous and imo if it takes longer than that to get moving then i'm not going to be interested anyway.

I binged 1-6 of Angels of Death and it was overall pretty meh. I liked when Zack and Ray were being silly together and it really needs more of that. Floor B4 was just tedious, where the previous two were ridiculous but things moved quickly. Also the OP and ED suck. idk if I'll binge to the end when the season is over, I'm definitely not engaged enough to follow week to week (plus I kinda looked up the game to see if the plot was really as obvious as it looked and welp that seems to be a yes)

I'm liking Sirius the Jaeger a lot. I'm 4 episodes in at the moment (about to watch 5) and it's still holding up, although I'd like to get more development on the rest of the Jaeger team now that Yuily's backstory is out.

Yeah the vampire elders and that guy's entourage were a fun change of pace. I'm enjoying the period setting as well and man the sound, like when Yuily is fighting and poo poo hits his staff, or that elevator scene. e: I kinda feel like this show is what Kabaneri was hyped up to be but let everyone down as far as mood, action, production, etc. I'm cautiously hopefully it'll hold up through the season.
