Dude was a great great player but he just could not stay healthy. He probably missed 50 games a year on average.

if you take out his first year (which was probably just a september callup) you're not far off, ~119 games played per year which is 43 missed per year.

Fourth of July on a Wednesday is just absolute poo poo. All holidays should be set to either Monday, Friday, Saturday or Sunday, none of this midweek horseshit.

Yes, I'm mad and cranky because my office has air conditioning and I would rather be there than dry humping my box fan at home. :argh:

If every team gets a home game on the 3rd or 4th then how can a team have a home game both days? That means someone is playing two away games, and that obviously isn’t happening.

The team playing two home games could potentially be playing two different visiting teams who play at home the other day. But considering how series are scheduled that's unlikely to be the case.

Two teams that play their home games at the same stadium would be rad, especially if they could get a super bitter rivalry going.

Weird ejection of Daniel Hudson in the Dodgers-Pirates game a couple minutes ago. I’ll be curious to hear what rule he was violating, seemed unclear.

He def seems unhappy with the team’s mediocrity.

His contract is through 2019 though.

Definitely the best season of his career. I’m still happy we traded him for Waino, though.

Broxton does this thing where he gets called up, looks amazing for a week, then hits .200 for weeks on end while the org shuffles around and pretends that maybe this time he'll figure it out. He's been awesome this week but I'm skeptical he'll sustain it.

the Marlins attendance for July 4th was 7,572.

every other Major League team outdrew the Marlins

all 15 AAA games outdrew the Marlins in attendance.

4 AA games outdrew the Marlins

2 high-A games outdrew the Marlins

5 low-A games outdrew the Marlins

contract the Marlins.

I'm sure it won't happen but a dispersal draft would fascinate me. The Marlins are butt but they have a few talented guys here and there and their prospect pool is probably decent.
