This show is incredibly good. I got a Haikyu kind of vibe from it when I saw previews and I’m not disappointed. Is there anyway the thread title can be changed? It’s really a disservice to the quality of the show.

Badminton is such a fun sport. You don't have to brace for impact with a ball like tennis, it's just fast back and forth with a little light thing and light rackets. Great stuff. I have not seen this show. The opening is well done though.

So she left her kid to go screw some cute french girl? I can respect that. I thought this was a great episode and this and last ep showed what we can likely expect the standard episode animation to look like which was still solid. I know some people were worried it might do a Keijo (ironically) and blow its budget in the first episode but that doesn't look like it'll happen.

I'd also laugh if she suddenly suffered amnesia and accidentally found her way into Europe, genuinely just forgetting her family.

Poor Ayano, cursed to have an endless parade of crazy badminton girls obsessed with her. If this turns out to be one of those terrible sports anime parent things where her mom abandoned her to make her stronger and go raise a rival for her and Ayano eventually ends up being okay with that I'm going to scream.
