I didn't hate R1, but I think it had too many characters and the lead is all over the place. You could have cut that film's cast way down and simplified that story a bit more OR REALLY cut that cast down and made it a more complex story. Hell, given we had a Solo film, we were going to have a Kenobi film, Rogue One should have just been a Leia origin film of her introduction to the rebellion. Just find an actress who looks enough like teen Leia and if you need to bring back Jimmy Smits as her co-star, do it.

I watched it the other day as well and it was really formulaic and bad. Disney probably has a team of financial analysts writting all the star wars scripts at this point.

Yeah I liked it for the most part. I bet it's a p slick, if melodramatic, movie if you remove all the Casino poo poo and recut all the stuff with Laura Dern and Poe to remove any references to Rose and Finn. Or give Finn something better to do but lol too late for that

I was gonna watch it with my girlfriend after it went onto netflix so she could see it for herself but she was completely disinterested and so instead we just watched the RLM review of it so she could understand just how bad it was without having to suffer. rip star wars
