You don't have to chase those figgies hbag. I know someone who is perfectly happy with his job as a developer working for a state. He makes a decent salary but it's not even remotely comparable to the overpaid morons on the west coast who like to reinvent ways to do feudalism.

I bought the book cracking the coding interview and it helped a lot with fizzbuzz. Particularly because it gives a shitload of practice problems, i'm sure you can do something similar with hackerrank or similar websites if you don't want to the book.

Kazinsal posted:c tp s: whoever wrote the webex teams client needs to be loving shot. no piece of software should spend twelve billion CPU cycles per second to render a meeting at 2 FPS for 15 seconds before crashing, and then exclusively lock out teams-based meetings so you can't join them through the actual meetings app that works All webex products are pieces of poo poo. They recently installed the webex meetings app on our computers, it's literally just a messenger looking app which displays meetings and you can hit "join" to join meetings. It doesn't automatically update, so you have to manually update it to join meetings and if you don't webex just freezes and offers no error message. During updating mine has crashed several times and it makes webex unusable until you reboot.

There are some managers in our department that get super annoyed when we change story points around due to the task changing scope or the person doing the task changing. I asked our scrummaster why they get so upset and he told me that it's a metric they share at management meetings lmfao.

fart simpson posted:actually flat breads all around central asia are called naan or variants of that word, it might not be from india really Yeah it originates from the Persian Nan-E Sangak with Nan being the bread, and sangak being the stones it's cooked on. I think a lot of the dishes that served in Indian restaurants tend to be stuff that came in with the Muslim invasions of North India, or the silk road. Even samosas aren't originally an Indian creation.

I believe the white man actually created naan. So he wouldn't need to eat the ethnic "chapati" that the browns ate.

For EE/CPEs all your classes were in C/C++. The CS program was almost entirely in java and there were a couple of courses that CPE/EEs had to take. The only C/C++ courses were electives which you could pick later on down the road. I had a couple of CPE/EE who really struggled with their courses in C++ but would do really well in java.
