Griselda: Just remember that. - The Court Jester, 1955 Hello, and welcome to Winefia - A Chalice Full of Poison, a Mafia setup designed for between 16-24 people, preferably 19-23. It’s the spiritual heir to two games from other sites I played on back in the day, and I’ve had it in the works for a while now. I don’t want to say too much about it, but this game is designed to stoke paranoia and mistrust, and is absolutely not a vanilla-heavy mafia game. It will begin soon after Nat 20's Yu-Gi-Oh Mafia ends. Podima has given it a once over, and the incomparable Bifauxnen has looked at this setup once and laughed at it. Any anger you may feel about the game should be directed their way, not because they deserve it, but because I'm the one writing this post. You’ll want to read the game notes, lurker mechanics, day length, and lynches sections below. Oh, and please don’t sign up just to lurk. Game Specific Notes:
You must have 3 posts • the number of out-of-game days at the end of any given day. This is waived for D1, though the days do tick up during D1. (So: 15 posts by EOD2, 21 by EOD3, 27 by EOD4, etc). If you ever fail to fulfill this condition, you are freely lynchable by majority vote (as tabulated by hand). If you do manage to get back on track after becoming freely lynchable, and are not, well, lynched, you will no longer be freely lynchable. This is done by appending “##Lurkvote [x]” to any post: if the majority of players do that and you don’t get back on track by then...well, don’t lurk.This will not end the day, and you will be considered dead as soon as (if) a majority is reached, so if you want to get back on track, convince people before they lurkvote you! If a player who was previously posting gives the mod a good reason for why they aren’t posting, this will all be waived for them. (Some examples: “Being scum” is not a good reason. “Busy with work” is. “Being Australian” is a maybe, depending on if the thread turbo lynches.) The goal here is to make sure only the laziest of players ever fall victim. Day Length: All day phases besides D1 are ~48 hours in length, ending at 10:00 PM Eastern. D1 is ~72 hours in length. All night phases are ~24 hours in length, unless all actions are in and tabulated beforehand, in which case day will start whenever the mod wakes up and posts daystart. If you need an extension for whatever reason, please PM the mod. (Or DM her on discord!) Lynches: Lynches occur by majority vote. All of y’all who are signing up as observers that aren’t spoiled on the setup: you should really play! This game is one of the more interesting setups I’ve seen in a while, and you’d be doing yourself a disservice if you didn’t experience it as a player.
