He’s made Rangers incredibly difficult to beat, which as a platform to build from will be positive going into the back half of this season and 19/20. Rangers haven’t been behind by more than a goal over 38 games now, and have lost 6;
Earlier in the season Rangers were scoring more per game but far too open and susceptible to conceding a last minute equaliser - partly through managerial inexperience and partly unfit players. See Motherwell 3-3 Rangers. The problem now is scoring chances created to kill off games. Kent coming back in and balancing the attacking three should help, obvious to see his impact against Celtic and Lustig is probably still sliding in his nightmares. Turning those draws into wins is the important part of the winter break, 2/6 against Hibs from games Rangers dominated won’t win leagues, for all the laughing at Celtic losing 2-0, they’ll still get 3/6 for beating them next game. Would like to see either; Grezda get a run of games and come good and tuck Kent inside a bit, or a terrier of a striking partner to put with Alfie so we can win every game 2-1 with 9 players. (And for the discipline problems to be sorted)
