I am very cautiously optimistic that PD2 will be good; I've always kind of wanted a game that has the geoscape and base building of something like x-com, but instead of turn-based battles, it's a more squad-based action shooter kind of game. The details about PD2 are too scant to tell whether that's the direction they're going to go with this game, but technically, I don't know for sure that they aren't, so there's hope! But it also seems very likely that this is just going to be some generic mission-based third person shooter so I'm not getting my hopes up too high.
