What's the deal with the feral wolf guy? I found him in his cave and his wolves attacked me so I killed them and took an honor ding then he's on the ground wailing and I was trying to talk to him but my horse decided to join me in the cave and trampled him to death. Another honor ding, and I have no idea what was supposed to happen.

Spoilers from his mission arc He already wrote me saying he was a big time artist now on some far away island and that the drawing he gave me suddenly became valuable.

Wolf guy's journal talks about how he has daddy issues and ran away, can't remember specifics. He found the two wolves that are with him when they were pups. Normally if he's alive and you pick up the journal, he attacks you. I also kept the painting/drawing from Charles, and the value is the same even post-game. Thinking its just flavor text.

When he was a wee lad his dad would take him hunting and it made him sad because he didn't want to kill the nice animals. After a while he decides to run away and go live in the woods. His last entry before his pen ran out of ink is him finding a litter of wolf puppies and one of them licks his hand.  And then a few years later you run into his cave and murder his happy wolf family you MONSTER.After I read it he attacked me with a knife and I knocked him out. The default RDO characters are very good Are some animals rank locked? Wandered around forever any barely saw any wildlife. And the ones I was able to kill didn't give me anything when skinned. I think this is a bug from trying to skin animals while in the water, it's happened to me in single player too. Also all my missions and strangers are gone so I'm just wandering around shooting at the occasional badger and very very slowly getting experience. I also got a free gun and arabian horse despite not getting any kind of special editions, is that normal?

2 of them are fairly obviously meant to be started before the end of the main story as part of Arthur's redemption. Two are in St Denis: "Help a Brother Out" with the monk, and "Fundraiser" with a lady sitting on the sidewalk looking for donations. The third is "The Widow of Willard's Rest" at the top right corner of the map. With the widow, I did the two encounters as Arthur, but didn't take anything from her house at the end of it (she tells you to take whatever you need). Returning as John, there's a whole little cutscene and I was able to loot the house still. At least some of the others that can be completed in the post game are restarted if you're part way through them when you finish the main game.

Favourite RDO moment so far - I started a wagon escort mission and the server devolved into absolute chaos with everyone camping the two wagons that no one could drive more than 50 feet without getting ganked. This led to one point where I had to throw my own corpse out of the driver's seat to get in. Is anyone having trouble selling carcasses and meat to the butcher? I brought in a couple of kills but the sell menu said "this merchant doesn't buy this item". At least it was fun to drop a huge dead condor in the saloon and watch everyone freak out.

According to the guide, The Course of True Love and Do Not Seek Absolution are also stranger missions that are time sensitive. The latter is also locked behind high honour but I was able to go positive enough to do them after the mission where you throw Strauss out of the camp.

Can you only have four custom saved outfits at one time? I just cobbled together a Bill the Butcher one from stuff at the tailor's but for some reason I can't save it. I have four other saved custom outfits already. I know you can only have 5 outfits on your horse, but just wondering about your wardrobe in general.

Four numbered custom outfits you can save for later and one "custom" outfit that constantly overwrites itself if you make any changes, like putting on a different hat or buying new gloves from the skinner.

I'm enjoying online when it works but I'm not going to try putting in too much time until it gets more stable. I was at a butcher with a cougar to sell and it booted me before I could finish the transaction. Kitty died in vain.

I really want to put off doing anything of significance in Online until we know whether or not they'll need to wipe characters before leaving beta. If my progress isn't maintained I think I'm happier just chilling in single player.

Is RDO laggy as gently caress or is it just the usual netcode that serves to punish the player with the best internet access and reward those who bother to standby-exploit? Been a while since I last did GTA Online. Remember to report the people who AFK farm. e: "Throwing knives kill in a single hit" and I experience that not being true, and I spectate others who learn that is not true on giving and receiving ends. Nuff said. e: ok it was lag/netcode, ten times better off and fair after rematching, managed to actually have a lot of fun and feel good. I want to roll with gooooons (PS4) e: Battle Royale mode whatev they called it, sit and wait for the thing to finish or forget playing with that lobby of player and requeue? Sure hope they take some feedback. Make an entire-game-map wide one instead with zones and circles instead, c'mon. That's a form of special edition. Animals are not level locked, I've hunted all kinds of poo poo online. They may spawn less in heavily populated areas due to resources? Or maybe just bad luck. Weapons are level locked though so for most if you want perfect pelts you need to use your lasso and knife.
