I have a couple that have really stuck with me over the years. Pink Floyd's Time "So you run and you run to catch up with the sun but it's sinking Racing around to come up behind you again. The sun is the same in a relative way but you're older, Shorter of breath and one day closer to death." Getting old sucks and I find the older we get the more we reminisce and try to chase the time we wasted in youth. Which ironically completes the circle of continuing to waste more time in the present. Don McLean's Castles in the Air "Oh, but how can words express the feel of sunlight In the morning in the hills away from city strife" Everybody knows about American Pie but many of his other songs are pure poetry. The imagery of such simple, yet beautiful lyrics always give me a chill in how perfectly he encapsulates how good it feels to get away from life's stress and anxiety and just relax out in nature far away from civilization.

I heard this one on the talk radio station that played hip hop/rap at night: "I'm on fire like Pepsi did Michael" It wasn't that kanye song with a similar line because I remember the nature of it wasn't to say they're getting burned out. They were bragging about how hot they were getting.

Not my favourite, but one that has been dancing in my brain recently is from the "Standing in the Rain" song from the Suicide Squad soundtrack. "... pillowfights with Dominican mothers" I also really like the one I have used as Avatar text from all-girl hair metal band Vixxen.
