What have you assholes done now?


I'm trying to get some fuckin abs for this trip out to Colombia in October. I've never had them before and have been a lardy pile of garbage all before this year.

I'm working on weightlifting 4 times per week, as well as a low-carb diet that I'm still trying to get some science into. I have cut out all beer, though. It's a start.

GOAL: ABS
TIMEFRAME: Second week of October
PLAN: Progressive weightlifting with Bodyspace app, and low-carb diet.

E: 6'0", 200lbs before I started working out. I'm up to 213lbs and have been sitting there for a while.

So the idea is to meet your carb macros throughout the day in your meals.
Electrolytes, and amino acids are a little different. You can drink/eat these before or during your workout to refuel some of your active energy stores, if you feel like you're dragging a little bit.
Personally I always have to slam a powerade after lifting in the gym for an hour, before I go run 2 miles with my dog. If not, this Texas heat and my depleted energy stores from working out will cause me to cramp. A small amino or Powerade drink is all you need to refuel in that scenario.
But to answer your question - it doesn't matter too much. Just make sure you meet your dietary macros you have set out for yourself.

Currently monching some Chipotle for the first time in forever after working out. Got that 1 set of 6 185lbs in, just barely. Excellent day all around.

You're absolutely under no pressure to share pics but if you hang with for a month or two you'll have a great "check out my month progress" comparison pic that you'll probably want to show off!

Thanks yall! I will grab some straps and try some chalk as well.

I tried a 300x1 DL with a bunch of friends that are way smaller and less fit than I was. We were drinking and "bro-ing out" which involves lifting and yelling like Ahnold a bunch. Anywho my grip failed me where theirs did not, and plenty of derision and attention to my tiny wrists followed.

More using both. I'd like grip strength but it's not too huge a deal, so I'll try the chalk out with deadlifting and straps for traps. If the chalk ain't working I'll go straps for everything I suppose.

Really starting to see some improvements with this diet and the normal gym routine.

This pic was yesterday afternoon... I was able to hit 185×5×3 on bench and 110×5×3 on incline press!

Just woke up to hit the gym hard since I have a crazy day today and no time to go otherwise. GET SOME!

Imgur app is loving up but SHOULDER DAY BEST DAY and just in time for this dinner chickadee promised me tonight

I got 2 sets of 5 reps 120lb military press. Same amount 190lbs on shrugs with no straps or chalk still. Every exercise got an increase!
