Oh, there was an actual new development that came alongside with the promotion of Colorado to the AHL. A new realignment.

e: schedules are still as unbalanced as forever.

Story-time with Hockles: The last time the Monsters did a game like this, it was at the tail-end of a really bad winter where schools canceled school a bunch. In order to make-up for days missed, a lot of schools bailed on coming to the game. So, there was roughly 500 people in attendance for a 11am start game. Take a look at the "attendance" for the game: https://lscluster.hockeytech.com/game_reports/official-game-report.php?lang_id=1&client_code=ahl&game_id=1011906
Anyway, one of the schools that did show up was in the section behind where I work. It was the worst game I ever worked.

Goalie goals are the best thing in sports. 2nd place is fat guy touchdowns.

The league sent out an email clarifying exactly what should be counted as a shot. So, those were probably inflated numbers.

Yeah, but did they get their opponents to wear Foot Clan jerseys too?

If you have been following the story since the beginning, you'll know that Nilsen's initial firing of the coaching staff was said to be regarding his displeasure the ice time his son, Hakon, was getting. Saw something new tonight, a Monsters player (Clendening) got an interference penalty for punching a Rochester player in the face while the Rochester player was sliding towards the Monsters' bench.

Clendening was not on the ice for this, he did it from the bench.

I don't know the dynamic of Syracuse/Tampa, but maybe Tampa wants a certain prospect to get some work.

Also every face off seems to take forever now, and I don't think they get dropped cleanly on the first go ever.

It depends on the linesman. There's a certain one that does Monsters games that we know we need to give it a beat before starting the clock, because half the time he blows it dead for one reason or another.
