I feel like it's a symptom of the whole "it's about moments" mentality, the same way John Cena went from top dog who beats 90% of people easy to getting taken to his limit by Zack Ryder during the open challenge; unless you're someone they see as a specific end boss who needs explicit protection, consistency doesn't matter so much as making this 15 minutes of television seem competitive and gripping.
