That's actually pretty clever, and it makes sense that the mammals most like humans would be the opportunistic omnivores.

Those are easily 40 foot waves if not more and will just straight up kill you and not even care.

Movable oil rigs have been around almost as long as the stationary ones. They're used for mainly for exploration. The original footage is almost worse if you think about it, because your can see just how much the little crane cabins are lifting and falling.

Wouldn't super deep and heavy "legs" or whatever stabilize the platform even if it's not embedded in the sea floor?

It looks like this is a semi-submersible platform, of the name Borgholm Dolphin. I have included another youtube video below that shows it off in more detail. This type of platform is mobile, and when moved into place uses wires or or guidelines to anchor down. I am not sure if that method of anchoring can arrest the sway of such waves we see in the clip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBrRQZNh0fs

In this piece the artist weaves a fascinating allegory of parallelism, binding the cultural association of transforming robots to the inherently artistic act of transformation of something common into something extraordinary. In this paper I will...

As a G1 fan (80s cartoons or bust) this makes me intensely sad.

I was living in Taiwan when the later crop of Transformers movies came out and the number of normal, professional adults who treated it like it was the coolest thing ever was mind-boggling. Meanwhile, I get angry even thinking about Transformers 2, literally the worst movie ever created by man.

Interesting. I just assumed it started as a repackaged or just stolen Japanese cartoon. That said I remember distinctly when I saw my first Transformers commercial in the 80s and it blew my mind. "Jet can be a robot!" Tbf I was 10.
