We did used to give people a hard time about inlining enormous gifs. Even if we aren't anymore, gifs suck for long things.

Additionally, the conductor is usually the one responsible for the overall musical vision for the performance. No two performances of the same piece are ever quite the same, even with the same conductor and the same group, but there are definitely wider variations between different conductors.

There's a Greasemonkey/Tampermonkey/whatever script floating around that's supposed to make sure they aren't huge and always show the controls, but it doesn't work for me on Firefox. YMMV.
