Yeah it's kind of hilarious how overpowered the gunslinger subclass is. You saw it for years in critical role with Percy, and Deadeye is really no different. I actually guffawed when his rifle was just a re-skin of Bad News, too.

I feel like it's PROBABLY going to be less "Oh well he's gotta run a new character now" and would end up being a sidequest to hunt for some way to revive him, finding someone who can, entreating Pelor to help. It'd make for some real interesting stakes to have to find a way to revive Bev as quickly as possible while the Husks run Amusks.

I was about to question how Bev was able to use revivify despite Pelor being dead... but then again, he has that connection to the Dusk Mother so It makes sense. He's got two dads to avenge now.

eke out posted:I am 99.9% certain, based on the rules of comedy, that this is actually going to happen I'm 100% betting that it'll happen, but it just screams perfect live show material.

I'm really surprised Murph just let the Tomevar summoning get counterspelled, honestly. All that buildup for a potentially super dangerous bossfight nerfed by a third level spell. It really makes me wonder why counterspell is just 10+ the spells level... 17 isn't exactly hard for most spellcasters to hit by the point they're at in the game. I guess I can't complain because the necromancer was pretty dangerous otherwise, and who knows how it would've gone if Tomevar was allowed to be in the fight.
