that's correct. if you only have 2 or 3 guys you think are worth keeping, you can just keep those guys.

how does it work out once we get to the draft? I don't want to keep 4 dudes, but i might want to keep #4 if say the alternative is me getting an extra draft pick in like round 18.

I don't think it's a good strategy at all but I waited too long to draft anyone worthwhile so I said gently caress it and figured that three roster spots going to Arizona's/Buffalo's/Edmonton's backups could probably be better used on couple hitsmen

It might come off as anti-fun, but I don't really think the no goalie strategy is all that fair and think that 2 should be mandatory or there should be an equal number of goalie stats counted as skater stats. I can see punting one category for a gain in another, but here it's punting 4 stats for a substantial gain in 9 others (HHL).

man i wish i was punting the goalie stats to get big gains in 9 others. i'm dumping any chance at winning 4 cats to pick up a small-to-moderate advantage in about 3-4 cats. the bottom 3 guys on my roster are basically there to put up faceoffs, shots, and one of hits/assists/goals. i looked through all of my HHL matchups and there was never really a week where i just rear end-blasted a competitive team out of the water on the strength of my extra 3 forwards. i storm a few categories, usually 3-4 to match the 3-4 goalie cats i'm giving up for free, and we fight it out over the remaining 6-8 hence the 68-60-2 record to date

also everyone on my team got hurt at once and i'm gonna get my revenge on you anton strawman you punk rear end

Just got interested by this, so I calculated the LSL standings were it a roto league, and just as I suspected, I've been spending the whole season getting jobbed:

code:
RK. TEAM POINTS H2H
1. Hot Dog Police 179.5 1
2. This Mortal Coyle 165 2
3. Mr. Holland's Anus 159.5 6
4. Anttifa 141 8
5. Blake's Pickle Juice 140.5 7
6. A Kinkaid Skeleton 139 5
7. StreitFighter2Turbo 137 3
8. Dartmouth Ferries 134.5 4
9. Pronger Physics 134 9
10. Chico and Marty 130 12
10. Stepanwolf 130 11
12. Svenchi Outside 119.5 10
13. Finding Kimmo 102.5 13
14. The Maple Leaves 81.5 16
15. We got Dotchin here! 68 14
16. S P A C E J A M 2 64.5 15
Looks Koopa over Ed was the only actual upset and, even though it was huge, it's really not as big of a gap as it looks. The playoff matchups by roto standings were actually 4 def. 1, 3 def. 7, 2 def. 5, and 6 def 8.

The playoff matchups if we were seeded by roto standings would've been me and T-Bone and I'm pretty sure I lose that handedly. Meanwhile, corn would've actually beaten Koopa 8-5, and both the top 2 seeds are still standing.

If you swap out T-Bone for Ed, the 4 best teams would actually be the ones still playing

put some loving respect on the god drat spelling of my team name ya dingus. rude boy

I'm ready for Yahoo to start counting goalie assists towards team totals. I want that Vasilevskiy SHP.

with how they solved the Shohei Ohtani problem. you'll just have to roster Andrei Vasilevskiy (Util) at the cost of an actually useful player and make sure to start him over actual skaters in addition to starting the goalie Andrei, and you'll get those sweet double stats you wanted
