Artificial intelligence is a dumb concept because intelligence is such a slippery thing An octopus might be better than a dog at doing math but nobody cares because the dog can read and appeal to people better People want a machine that can think like a person, but better, which is a reaally hard thing to pin down and it's ultimately like trying to make a good concrete definition of god

I would just like to say anything Amazon creates, in order to draw me deeper into giving them as much of my money as I can, is okay with me. I'm sure it will provide me a means to depend upon it for basic life functions and leave me feeling unfufilled when I'm not spending money on it. As soon as they let me have a job and live in a storage room I will no longer need anything but for them to continue to allow me to work for them and graciously keep my pay whilst enabling me to enjoy more of their wonderful products that complete my life.

a general AI that can think of all the same things a human can has such massive barriers of computational complexity and raw number crunching energy requirements in the way of actually making one happen that we can't be certain that we will ever be able to build one also there are tasks that have been mathematically proven to be uncomputable, as in, if a machine can solve them it should not be called a computer because it would make a computer look like a loving abacus built by a retarded caveman out of mud and live squirrels if you are ever tempted to be worried about AI, don't
