never saw this guy mentioned yet but look mum no computer is a great channel for audio tinkering. he’s a huge goof and doesn’t get TOO technical, in his latest series he rescued an old church organ and hooked it up to a midi controller. great for kids too (my 9yr old loves him) https://youtu.be/gVGr3J_LZaE

the past few days it seems like all my youtube videos are doing some kind of 60fps interpolation on my roku tv. but when i enable the stats for nerds it reports a 25fps video. and my tv settings have all the frame smoothing poo poo turned off, I’ve checked numerous times. its very bad to look at and I’ve also confirmed my tv is on

is there a reliable way to block youtube ads on my phone or tv yet? it seems like people are using pi hole for this but it a lot of the guides are from several years ago, and people claim that certain methods don't work anymore, plus it looks like you still have to do a lot of manual janitoring to maintain a bespoke block list. I just want to set it and forget it, and have somebody else do the hard work of playing cat and mouse with google.

I wouldn’t normally care but I live in an apartment and would rather not be the rear end in a top hat neighbor i also turn the center channel up a little bit after doing the microphone levels setup since most dialog is center channel works for me and poo poo still sounds fantastic

that video came up in my rec’s and I wasn’t gonna watch it but thankfully yospos steered me back on course, that was incredibly entertaining. i think the reality show editing stuff is done in an exaggerated manner for humor/irony and it matches their chemistry really well

i guess it depends on the channel and there are probably a lot of exceptions, like playing video games, but a lot of people who get famous on youtube usually end up taking commissions for the type of work that made their channel famous.

I learned about a rice cooking method where you boil it in water for a couple minutes, and then pour it into a strainer and steam it for the remainder. It comes out perfectly chewy and not gummy or anything because the boiling process washes away most of the surface starch. It definitely requires a bit more attention than other methods but A+ would recommend
