This game is far more extensive than Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen and is literally Dragons Dogma Online. Everything you could do in the single player game is here and much more. Set in a new world of who gives a gently caress you are an Arisen that is on good terms with the Dragon that tore your loving heart out. You are tasked with completing many extensive Dungeons and Dragons campaigns with friends or a party of Pawns you create that are controlled by AI. Dragons Dogma Online is run by Capcom in Japan( Capcom Online Games or COG ) and the base game is entirely in Japanease moon runes. But luckily a group of madmen have created a translation patch that translates everything important in the game. There are three seasons of content that are going to make you keep saying "I swear this was the last zone". The World map lies. There are a fuckton of zones and content to this game. Third World Reggin posted:random images to show you how translated it is Vocations There are 11 Classes called Vocations in DDO. You are free to switch classes at any time at the inn in White Dragon Temple. The Vocations do not share level so if you switch then you are going back down to level one. It saves all progress of each of your Vocations so you can just level up whatever and switch around freely. Leveling multiple Vocations at a time has the added benifit of allowing you to use vocation augments you have unlocked from leveling across all your vocations. So If you play the rogue which is called seeker and get a physical damage augment unlocked you can use it with your fighter vocation. The Vocations are bracketed as Damage, Tank and Support. They are as follows. Support:  Elemental Archer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bcDJjLwLMI Shoots cures and buffs. They will shoot the loving support right into you. Got a new tentacle rape shot.  Priest https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALyvziYdCnU Gods House. Auras and Ground fountain shiny poo poo. You go to them for the good support. Undead literally die looking at them.  Spirit Lancer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=In6HYmhtCV0 Season 2 new Vocation. Does everything. Vocation Trainers With all Vocations you have a Job Trainer. Job Trainers will allow access to leveling up your skills and augments past normal caps by killing specific monsters and also give you access to a Skill Blood orb Tree. I would suggest keeping this in mind if you consider the Two classes added with Seasons 2 and 3. Those classes are Spirit Lancer for Season 2 (Level 70 Area) and High Scepter for season 3 (Level 90 Area). Without Access to the Job Trainers you will not be able to push your skills and trees up until much later than all other classes making you somewhat weaker than others for a period of time. Game Progression and Area Points Current level cap as of 9.17.2018 is 100. The game locks your progression based on your progress with the main story quests (The Red Quests). So if you want to get into the fancy higher level areas then either join a high level friend and have him teleport you out there or progress in your main story quests to unlock them. All of the main story is untranslated and has some cutscenes and such but all the objectives are easy to follow as they are translated. We find it entertaining to come up with our own idea on why things are happening in the story quests as nearly the entire main cast is gonna be loving dead by stupidity and leave one old man in the audience chamber to talk to. Each area of the game has an area master in an inn or shrine of some sort. You can complete quests and open dungeons in each zone to gain Area Points (AP). This ranks up the zone when you talk to the Area Master and unlocks weekly rewards and opens up more areas in the zone for you to cause havoc in. The Supply drops are all reset every week on Sunday. (Every Monday at 6.00 AM JST). Pawns When you create your character you will shortly gain a single pawn to create by completing the Main Quest A Servants Pledge. Pawns are AI controlled party members you can bring along to help you kill poo poo. They level up at a much faster pace then you but are capped by your level. A Party is a max of Four so you can have up to three pawns in your party at once. In order to create more main pawns yourself you will need to progress in the main story and unlock the slots from the white dragon's blood orb tree. After unlocking the slots you will need 10 Riftstone Shards in order to create a pawn. The Riftstone shards can be gained from the weekly Area Master rewards if you have completed enough missions in the area to unlock the reward. The second pawn is easier to get as the first three zones have Trial quests that reward you with Riftstone shards and you can get enough this way to create your second pawn. Your third will have to be from Area supply rewards. If you have friends you are allowed to hire their pawns from the Riftstone to create a full party. Pawns are also used as crafters and dispatch missions so they will be out of play when using them for such purposes. To Further elaborate on pawns you can change their vocations as well and they are not throttled by Job Master requirements so getting their Skills to level 10 is instant as soon as you meet the level requirement. This makes it so having a Sorcerer as a pawn the most dumbfuck overpowered alpha damage dealer in the early parts of the game. If you are the same vocation as one of your main pawns in your party they will mimic your actions on monsters they have seen you fight. This makes it so you can have pawns do very specific actions during fights as opposed to acting freely with their AI. Pawns will only use the four skills they are slotted with and will not pick up items for you. You will need to equip your pawns with gear as well as yourself so gear management is a thing unless you get some dumb item from an event that blows early game out of the water with some Item Rank 90 weapon with a level 1 requirement. This kind of poo poo can be found in the very well known Gacha crates which you can buy from real word moon money (Yen). Game is a hundred times more enjoyable and challenging without the broken poo poo and there is no pvp so who the gently caress cares try not wear it. Multiplayer Stuff - You can Form parties up to 4 people and fill in gaps using pawns. - Party Leader can group teleport the party. Players can go into zones they don't have access to this way. - There are daily missions that have party rewards that are shown in Lestenia News. - Timed Dungeons that open up every three days. - Timed Bounty Missions that open up randomly. - Area Bosses such as "Evil Eye Beholder" and "Ifirit" - There are 8 man "Extreme Missions". - There are 4 man "Extreme Boss Missions" - Clan Dungeon Missions. - Epitaph Road with Challenge Trials and super bosses. - Bitterblack Maze was added. You create a character and form a party at level 1 and progress though a semi random dungeon where you rapidly level up and upgrade your gear. This Dungeon is a lot of fun and lets you set up vocations with access to everything so clearing this dungeon is great way to try out new vocations. The get you get can be moved into your actual inventory via marks you aquire for clears. Some really random and powerful Bitterblack Bracelet items can appear in here and are great choice to bring out. If you use Mudfish do not connect to any of the Google nodes, they will not work and you will receive a error message when opening the game client.

Will get on this when I get home from work tonight. The reddit link to VPN instructions has a broken link to a VPN client. Would you mind putting together some instructions here, and perhaps an outlay of how much I can expect to pay for a VPN (Was it $10 all at once into a balance, or are you charged gradually)? I expect I'm not the only one without any VPN knowledge or experience, so it will be useful for more than just me.

So here is the information for mudfish. Sign up here. https://mudfish.net/ Download here https://mudfish.net/download When you launch mudfish, it opens up in a browser and asks you to sign in. If the window doesn't open up, go to http://127.0.0.1:8282/signin or right click on the mudfish icon in the taskbar tray and select open dashboard. So mudfish is a korean company but charges you by the amount of traffic used, not time. I've had it for years for various games and I still have only paid for it once.  So you won't need more than 5 bucks on it. It has been so long I had to go look up payment methods currently available and here you go.  Once there is money on it, go to this menu  Find Dragons Dogma Online (New) and equip it. When you go back to the dashboard, you should see it there with a slider. Just make sure the slider is blue. By default, it should be trying to find the best node automatically but it may screw you if it picks a google node. So click on Dragons Dogma Online (New), then the setup tab, and then pick a JP Asia (Tokyo _______) server that isn't google. Linode works pretty well. You may have to sign out and in to mudfish and it will give you a popup letting you know that. Once mudfish is running, you can do a geo ip check to make sure your browser isn't using mudfish. Just search google for one of those. Your status section of the dashboard should say fast connect and pay per traffic data plan but not say full vpn mode. Now try the dragons dogma launcher. If you get two angry elves looking at you with some japanese, it failed. If you don't, it worked. Just log in from there and you can keep mudfish running if you want. You can monitor traffic usage on mudfish's dashboard. The reddit has some info on how to use a mask so that you gently caress with your routing table on your pc and lets you kill your vpn software after you launch the game and log into a character. You can do that but I've recently been letting it stay on this the traffic I use is so low, it doesn't seem to matter much. I use about 1-3 cents per day. Also here is a small windows 10 thing. Each time you open a new vpn connection / launch mudfish, you will have a new network. It will count up incrementally each time you launch it so I am like on vpn 69 where 2-68 don't exist. About the quests. You are probably not gonna understand the story but you can get a lot from the cut scenes. If you have a phone and have the google translate app, you can take pictures of things to get a quick translation. There is a npc that has a summary of every milestone in the main story line so you can learn about it if you really want to know. But I am gonna go ahead and say bad guy did bad thing and maybe dragon??? And you are the hero.

It might just be me, but I had to download Mega's Chrome extention (or desktop app) in order to download this file. I have over 100GB of space so assuming it's a Chrome issue and not me personally, in which case it might be worth mentioning with your download link. e: It also just prompted something about this file size exceeding my IP's quota. Don't think I've downloaded anything else, certainly not of this size, from Mega recently.

Are the "relationship level" buffs that your partner pawn can get worth it? Is there any point to trying to increase the level faster with rift crystals and whatnot or does it raise quickly enough just from dragging the pawn around with you all the time?

Just as a warning to this, your starter quests and the first 3 zone trials give just enough riftstone shards to get your other pawns. So accidentally blowing them all on your partner pawn means you'll have to rank areas up and wait until Sunday to get your 2nd or 3rd pawns. But the poses are super awesome.

If this patch fucks up your translation you need to reapply the translation patch. Download the latest here and just drag and drop the folder to overwrite the moon language. https://github.com/riftcrystal/DDON-Translation/releases Edit: This patch did not gently caress up the translation patch.
