Oh my god. The simulation in red dead redemption is so real i accidentally made horses go extinct in game by overburdening them with level 10 +5 platinum pinecones during the pinecone double exp weekend event, causing them to die of exhaustion, and now i cant complete a quest that requires a horae

I waited until night to rob a train above emerald ranch because I didn’t want to get any bounty in the southern state. I hopped on, knocked out two dudes silently but then a dude on the roof heard me I guess because the alarm was sounded. Killed a dozen lawmen in the wilderness and left no witnesses. Looted the train but it was worthless, basically just some ammo and food. Then as I was leaving I started the train up again and went the opposite direction. Shortly thereafter I received a $300 bounty. So much bloodshed and bounty for a handful of canned fruit.

I did a few lawless events where I'd stand on a hill outside of Valentine and see how many people I could snipe before they found me or I'd run around throwing dynamite into buildings but generally I played as a law abiding citizen. idk if it's the connection to the character of Arthur or the lack of weapon/vehicle variety but the "5 star rampages" I'd have so much fun with in GTA I never really got into in RDR2.

When robbing trains you have to walk up to the passengers and do the context sensitive prompt when you point their gun at them and make them give you poo poo. Like every R* game there is a mission 15 hours in that teaches you this.

I'm actually playing the online of this. It's fun, and there is a lot to do, but I it would be more fun if the other players didn't exist so I didn't keep getting disconnected and animals actually spawned. I keep prodromally thinking about glitched pinecones all the time too.

The ambience and immersion of this game are incredible. I love that regular people actually have interesting conversations. Every time I hear something cool my brain thinks it must be a side quest because that’s how so many other games work. But nope, it’s just interesting npcs living in a fleshed our world
