Since TheMcD isn't talk about it, there was a Special animation that came with Danganronpa V3 in Japan: Super Danganronpa 2.5 and it has a connection to Danganronpa 3.. It is basically following Nagito in a world without ultimate talants yet he still has some weird luck aura around him. There is nothing really important until the end where it turns out that after dying in the Neo World program, this is what his mind created as a coping mechanism. Hajime has been diving into the program to revive all the people that "died" during DR2 and Nagito is the last one to be revived. After Nagito wakes up it basically leads to the DR2 cast boarding the boat and heading into episode:hope kind of a crude summery but it fills in a few blanks between when we see Hajime staring at the fleet that was approaching the island that held the DR2 cast and when they show up in episode:hope
