JossiRossi posted:A big thing I like is that because they are all doomed, they aren't focusing on being better people. They are just focusing on saving people. So Eleanor will continue to be a garbage person in a lot of regards, and I find that a lot more entertaining/interesting than everyone attempting to be goody-two-shoes about everything. More importantly, they're further damning themselves to save others. Everything they told Pillboi was a lie. Argue posted:He has a huge problem with lying, as well as with withholding the truth. He'd probably eventually break and tell her, dooming her soul to eternity. It nullifies her future good point gathering because her motives would be corrupt, it doesn't nullify point loss.

Corrupt motivation only invalidates point gains, corrupt motivation that stops you from losing points works just fine.

xerxus posted:The group's motivation is no longer corrupt since they're trying to save people expecting to not get rewarded for it. We were talking about Pillboy's corrupt motivations. My point was that even if Pillboi decides not to rob a gas station because he's a secret NASA investigator, he's still not robbing gas stations.

I never paid much attention to her until this show Season one of Veronica Mars is some excellent TV, despite stunt casting Paris Hilton. Seasons two and three are decent (they clearly didn’t have any idea beyond season one’s murder mystery when they created the show).

Of course it has to be Doug Forcett, he’ll assume that his understanding of the point system led him to live a good life and he deserves to be in the Good Place. Having arrived, he’ll refuse to improve himself, slack off and do even worse than before, disproving the hypothesis of the experiment. He’ll probably even tattle on the ethics study group.
