Maxwell Lord posted:If we broadly define bad things as things that hurt other people, and you’re in a place where people can’t really be hurt or deprived or made to do anything they don’t want to do, can you actually do bad? What if everyone in The Good Place was just immensely bored with continued existence?

Kaedric posted:Actually I only posted that comment because I thought it was dumb that it was OK to like Chidi, but not Janet, or at least not to express it. I think it is cool and good to post about liking the way people look and nothing anyone posted actually bothered me. Because both comments exist in a context of a society where women are still judged mainly by appearance, but guys taking care of their appearance is judged as "gay'.

Senor Tron posted:Do people have guesses for the end of the season? If it's anything like the last two finales things are gonna get shaken up a lot again. They have name dropped Rawls and the Veil of Ignorance in a few interviews, but it hasn't come up on the show yet. My guess is that one of the concepts they cover when trying to fix the points system, or replace it entirely.

Zeeman posted:I think one of other new people being Doug Forcett would be really interesting, he would certainly assume he'd gotten into the Good Place legitimately and it would seriously mess with Michael He would think he was right and he'd still torture himself. That would be brilliant. Edit: pseudorandom name posted:Of course it has to be Doug Forcett, he’ll assume that his understanding of the point system led him to live a good life and he deserves to be in the Good Place. Having arrived, he’ll refuse to improve himself, slack off and do even worse than before, disproving the hypothesis of the experiment. He’ll probably even tattle on the ethics study group. Or that. The hard part would be getting Michael McKean for the necessary number of episodes. Tequila25 fucked around with this message at 05:13 on Jan 27, 2019 |
