Just give Nate what he wants and book that 165 title fight imo.

Diaz 1, 2, 165

Also BJJ Scout has their pre fight video out for Khabib vs Conor. It's pretty good and worth a watch.

I'm excited to see the two of them actually fight and see how the match up plays out, but I weirdly don't feel nearly as hyped as I felt for both Diaz fights. I couldn't wait for that rematch and was hyped as gently caress for the third match that still hasn't happened.

I'm sure Conor's grappling has improved since the Chad fight, but not enough so that repeatedly having to grapple with Khabib won't be very bad for him.

For me the whole fight comes down to what Khabib is going to do to avoid getting rocked when he does go for the clinch/single leg he likes to do.

Khabib dropped Conor with one of his wild rear end punches

If Khabib doesnt get stripped we will see how highly WME values its emerging Russia market.

Strip him and immediately book Ferguson vs Khabib again for the vacant lightweight title.

I think he's saying they won the scuffle after the match is all.

Which if you're McGregor and you want to distract people from you getting comprehensively beat, that's probably the only play to make.

Conor should consider a camp change if he wants to have a real shot at beating Khabib.

I don't think SBG Ireland is going to push him in the ways he needs to be pushed to come into a rematch with Khabib with a solid chance of winning.

Conor was completely done. His best round was a round he barely edged out on the feet, while still having to cheat like crazy to stop Khabib taking him down again.

I don’t think anyone should fault him for choosing not to get his jaw broken by the extremely pissed off Dagestani man.

Snowden doing an extended re-imagining of the fight where it was closely contested has been pretty amusing

I guess he immediately regained control of the fight by getting picked up and slammed to the ground and beat on for the rest of the round?

My opinion is that it wasn't close from the perspective that Conor's best chance to win was to implement his A game where he traps his opponent on the fence and pressures them into giving him openings to land really hard, really well placed counters. Khabib shut that game down entirely by never letting Conor trap him on the cage and by taking him down in every round but the third. In the third Conor landed some good shots on Khabib, but none of them were the type of counters that Conor hurts people with, which is why Khabib was able to eat them without any trouble.

I also think Khabib took the 3rd round off to get his gas tank back, while still landing the single hardest punch of that round and forcing Conor to cheat relentlessly to avoid getting taken down again.

Normally I'd say expect Dana to tell Khabib to gently caress off in so many words but

Tony, barring the Pettis fight, almost always has a bad first round but then turns it on in the 2nd round onward.

I'm sure everyone here saw, but I didn't notice that Khabib wasn't letting go after the tap and Herb Dean had to pry his grip apart until we watched the replay of the whole end of the fight like 3 times.

If you go back and watch the first presser with no audience, Khabib is completely chill right up until Conor starts talking about his Dad.

They do one of those split screen things where you can see both guys talking and you can actually see Khabib's facial expression change as he starts listening to what Conor was saying.

I imagine he was bottling all that anger up and when he had the chance to make him hurt a bit he took it.
