Since we're chatting about Mario. The only Mario platformer I've played until this year was NSMB on the DS. I enjoyed it so I picked up Super Mario Bros and Super Mario World, but found the first one way to unforgiving for me. Super Mario World is also a lot harder than New Super Mario. Which surprised me. I had to farm 99 lives and it me 50 of those to get through world six. Maybe I'm just bad at video games.

Mario Kart is the first videogame I ever played. My grandmother purchased the N64 and it for my birthday. The map my brother and I hated was that haunted house one. That loving map. I remember at the local Boys&Girls Club they had a SNES and a Mario game. Younger kids used to sit and watch the older kids play and wait for their turn while waiting for their parents to pick them up. The older kids would just rotate among themselves though. I thought it was Super Mario World, but I distinctly remember there being a pyramid level and I haven't encountered that in World yet.

That Nintendo added a third performance profile for games running in portable mode. Super Mario, Zelda, and Mortal Kombat have the GPU running at 460mhz instead of 384mhz. A 20% increase. It's just for some reason they used ROM PRG0 instead of PRG1 so when you reach Level 5: Stage 15 where you face Death. The game has a high chance of crashing there due to the high amount of enemies and items on screen.
