Is Orochi 3 not on the Switch outside of Japan? It's still probably my favorite Musou game and has more content than any other. Edit: a big part is that you can play 3 characters at a time, it gives more variety to each individual battle.

I've only played a few MH games here and there but the one on the Switch definitely looks and feels like all the other pre-World ones to me. Before World they were terrified that even the smallest improvements to the most obtuse parts of the game would drive away all their fans.

It's not specifically that I want to play Eternal Darkness again, but rather I want more games where your players have randomly generated hallucinations.

Horizons is my first AC game but friends have told me about the series for a long time so I had a good idea of what I was getting into. What I didn't expect was for it to be in literal real time, because when I hear "real time" in games I usually think that just it means it has its own day and night cycles, usually way compressed from real hours. I have mostly been playing this and various music games on the Switch since the world went sideways. I'm not in the mood for games with violence or death-defying feats. I played the Japanese demo for that on the PS4 way back when. They have good ideas but they're just really badly made games and not in a way that would ever get charming I think.

Why would they advertise it as the last major update anyway? Seems like it's deliberately limiting what they could do in the future if the situation changed.

I bought the physical package of Animal Crossing because I wasn't sure if I would like it, but now I'm pretty sure I'll be playing it for a long time, so I was thinking about selling the physical version and getting the download version. Would my save transfer? Edit: this is my first AC game so is there a canon explanation for why Nook, Blathers etc are on everybody's island all the time? Or why the world is curved like a cylinder? It seems like there's some weird mythology behind this world. Samurai Sanders fucked around with this message at 12:40 on Apr 21, 2020 |

ACNH could not have come out at a more appropriate time, though they had no way to predict it. I mean, I'm playing FF7R now too but one of them is a hell of a lot better escape from scary things IRL than the other.

Has the Animal Crossing series always been built on weird arbitrary things that it just doesn't let you do and doesn't say why? I swear every time I play I find another one. Most of them involved multiplayer but not all of them.

I'm trying to remember all the little can'ts I ran into in about a half hour of playing. - can't get money from the ATM while on my friend's island, so couldn't buy what I wanted - can't drop some clothes on my friend's house's floor for them to pick up, had to go outside and drop them there - can't donate or get fossils appraised at friend's island's museum - can't mail a crayfish, even though I could mail a jungle gym or a teacup ride if I wanted to - can't be in a menu, or talking to someone, or freaking FISHING if I want a friend to come over - can't put stuff on the wall of my house with the friend anywhere on the island - can't drop something in the public square for my friend to pick up, had to take a few steps over and try it again probably others I forgot. Has the series always been like that?

Being in the middle of a complete poo poo show at work with management that was already on shaky ground under normal circumstances and now thanks to the coronavirus they can do nothing but wander in the dark, I feel like I have a better understanding of how products can just be a disaster and then they have to be released anyway.

I've been playing some more Tetris 99 and though it's not a game I'll play for hours on end, It still feels like a game straight out of a sci-fi novel or something. Instantly and randomly connecting to 98 other people who you don't know and playing a simple abstract puzzle game while murdering each other for dominance.
