Playing The World Ends With You with a joycon is so loving weird. It retains all the touchscreen controls as the DS version except you point a cursor.

Why?

I see they finally showed a real trailer for Ai Somnium Files, Kotaro Uchikoshi's newest thing. I've been following their marketing scheme Youtube channel with bated breath.

Pretty thrilled for some more murder porn with some crazy twists involving Uchikoshi just pulling the wackiest real and "real" science out of his rear end and smashing it together.

A good chunk of the minigames in Super Mario Party rely on HD rumble so releasing a budget version of the console that can't even play all the minigames in their flagship casual party game seems highly dubious to me.

Besides, how much money would removing the rumblers even save? If anything it would mean they have more types of controllers to manufacture which would probably just cost them more in the end.

Im really liking this marketing for AI Somnium Files. My Youtube anime waifu just uploaded a new video, eventhough the last upload was.. lets say not so optimistic.

But dont worry guys shes back with her GDC report!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4VzMNdrMauU

Being a loser with no life I went through the video frame by frame and found a couple things. The first few frames were glitchy and contained a couple of these.

And the last few frames show that Tesa disappears before the video ends.

She also refers to herself as A-set AKA Tesa, rather than the other way around as usual. The video's description is also signed Tesa and not A-set like the others.

Something queer is going on...

Game saves are on internal memory, not the SD card. All you need to do is power the switch off, put in the new SD card, turn it on, and then open each home screen icon to redownload the game. Saves will be intact.

You don’t even have to redownload them. You can plug the SD cards into a computer and just copy everything over. It’s really nice for retards stuck with Comcast and their data cap (me).

It means that there could be a delay with the store activating your cards, either on their end or Nintendo’s I dunno. I’d probably just try again in a few hours and contact the store or Nintendo if it happens again.

Not really. There are "rooms" that you have to "escape", but they're mental constructs with objects you can interact with in various ways. Do it the right way, and you can progress on through the game.

Also these rooms are how the story branches. Depending on how you escape, you wind up on different forks of the flowchart

How is this game? The SNES one always looked like an interesting game I wanted to try. Is it a remake of that?

It's not a remake. I loved all the other games in the series but hated the demo for this one. Where the other games were entirely based around fast and skillful platforming and speedrunning, you get sent out into a large map and told to do things like "collect X amount of mushroom and then return to my house to complete your quest"

It's a game that doesnt understand what was great about its predecessors

Seriously the original three are on Steam right now, get those. If you dont have a computer, surely you have a 3DS. The third one is on the eshop and the first two had an excellent port to the original DS.

The puzzles are less about actually figuring out math and poo poo and more about just managing the time you have and deciding if actions are worth risking the waste of X number of seconds or the possibility of a Timie that’ll multiply your next action by 8 or whatever.

It’s not hard but you can’t just click everything without thinking.

It’s dumb as hell, you will always download to sd card if it’s inserted. Delete game, Remove card, download game, put it back in.

As a tip for any new sd card owners, put a huge game or two on internal storage before popping the card in, otherwise you’re just wasting all that free space

I can’t seem to find anything on google, maybe someone here knows. Are there switch games that allow cross-region DLC?

For example Groove Coaster. I bought the game on the American eshop. When visiting the Japanese eshop, the game is marked as bought, I assume because my other account on the same console owns it.

Does this indicate that buying Japanese DLC will function on my American game?

Unlike the PS4 where buying physical still uses up the same amount of hard drive space, buying physical on Switch goes a long way towards saving SD card space and not having to buy bigger ones.

I buy physical whenever possible unless digital is on sale or something.

Edit: its also extra important to save space on your switch because Micro SD cards cost a lot more per gig than a laptop hard drive
