There's actually a later side-story about that with some orcs named lake-m-35 and the such. It was equal parts hilarious(because of the namesl and rather heartwarming(reminiscing about life and enjoying the simple pleasure of a honest job well done). New Episode as always, and There's something legitimately nice about the fact that even though he's basically the Supreme ruler, Rimuru's ideal house is basically a small and simple 1 to maybe 2 room apartment. Like he could build himself a palatial estate(there IS one, but it's used more for state guests and municipal events), but instead prefers an apartment that pretty much looks like the one he first moved into in Tokyo.

This weeks episode was nice. I liked that they included the scene with the Dragon Worshippers and the addition of the potato War between Milim and Shion. I can't believe how much I enjoy Slime Diaries. Treyni and Geld are the big MVPs, but everyone's great and the show is so generous with spotlighting characters. I wish Rigur got a moment of his own, though. Rigurd at least gets screentime and a funny scene here and there, but you don't really see or hear much of the son. I guess he's always out on patrol? Also what was up with Milim's enormous sweet potato? I thought it was going to turn into a beholder.

Rigur actually gets some good moments in the Diaries manga proper, but yeah he's on patrol a lot which is a job he takes very seriously. The sweet potato thing was hilarious. Was 100% expecting it to be a Mandrake or something and then start screaming.

They're up to five volumes of material and there's lots of hilarious stuff in the later ones that further flesh put side-characters such as the Adventure Trio and Guildmaster Fuse, Shizu's life as a teacher, the Beasketeers annoying Tempest(and it's booze), some back-story on the human merchant Mjormilles.

It's been a while since I read the LN, but did the anime just make a huge jump and cut to the chase about who's been manipulating things? I thought Rimuru only finally figured that out in the latest novel.

Just started reading volume ten this morning and they come out and say it in nine after the festival. Though it was pretty obvious who "The Boy" was before that. In the manga they show him earlier. Side note Rimuru shouldn't be such a dick to Veldora. Like chill man, jeez. Between him and how he treats Milim what does slime boy have against dragons who are supposed to be his friends? I guess but I'm pretty sure even after Rimuru becoming a demon lord Veldora is a lot more powerful. Like a subplot for the last three books was he was getting magic blue balls for the sake of not killing everyone in town just existing. Also I have slowed to a crawl because I can not bring myself to give a poo poo about this dungeon/theme park. It's a fun background thing but it's been the focus for like half of book nine and all of the start of ten. Please move on.

Some more info starts popping up in the festival events that lean that direction, but there's not much he can do about due to Yuuki's position on top of not knowing if he's acting of his volition or not(possession, mind control, blackmail, etc) Otherwise, I like the dungeon. Is cool.
