I did like that they dropped Solo in May since that’s Star Wars month but it did hurt them and I was looking forward to a sequel. So hopefully they’ll start up with a Star Wars movie every Christmas and a couple show premiers throughout the year, including May the 4th.

If they have to be CGI’d I’m cool with that or recasted (like Sebastian Stan playing Luke). But this would be a great way to actually make the sequel trilogy decent by setting up the explanation of “somehow Palpatine has returned” among other things. Oh my god this whole thing is just setting up a prequel trilogy for the sequel trilogy.

Maybe he already is. We think all the Baby Yoda midichlorian harvesting is just Snoke backstory, but what if it’s actually... for Luuke? I really liked The Force Awakens and I thought it was going to be a great set up for the rest of the trilogy and the original cast was going to be more than just... there. Luke should have been the main protagonist in 8 & 9 with Rey as his apprentice while also not completely sidelining Finn to scream Rey numerous times.

Different opinions, but I believe Luke shouldn’t have died at all and should have had a showdown with Palps along with Rey and Ben. Maybe even a dope lightsaber fight instead of Palpatine making the same mistake he made with Mace.

I'm expecting Crosshair to show up in this next episode or the one after, and then another after a short gap, and then at some point in the final four episodes they'll start a tight arc for the finale where he'll feature loads. Yeah I kinda agree. I actually hope the next episode or the one after shows us some more of him or the Empire at large organizing itself or BOTH! I like how right now it's just the simple Dad Batch trying to make their way through the galaxy with their fresh new lives and I think we'll have a couple more episodes of that with how long the season is. I'm really happy with how it's going so far and I am itching for them to run into Rex and Ahsoka.

I love that this show has me feeling like none of them are safe and are going to die so I’m thinking every episode one of them could. And like jassa said they’re not involved in the Rebel Alliance as far as we know so I think they’re all going to die. I was really happy that Rex and Echo were together again and Rex addressed the Fives situation a little.

Mulva posted:I mean another reason to disregard the Jedi is that like 99% were taken out instantly by their Clone Troopers turning 6 inches to the left and shooting them in the face. So, like, not a super impressive way to go out. I mean after years of fighting with the clones I’m sure most Jedi saw them as their brothers, which is not far fetched, so imagine you’re just walking around town one day and then suddenly your best friend just turns to you with a gun in your face and pulls the trigger. You’re not gonna believe what’s happening and before you realize poo poo got serious you’re shot and dead. It’s just not something the Jedi saw coming and their last thoughts were more than likely, “what did I do to you? I thought we were brothers”. It’s really sad after watching Plo Koon’s episodes in TCW how he cares for his clones so much and then they just shoot him down. I can’t really explain the Temple situation other than maybe it was just thousands of clones against a few hundred Jedi and of those few hundred Jedi maybe a very small fraction were even adults with training suitable to take on a decent number of enemy combatants before being completely overwhelmed whilst the others were younglings. Like a Chinese army rush.

Moreau posted:The ability to lead an army doesn't necessarily translate into amazing combat skills. The heroes these stories follow just happen to be both. I just always assumed that the Jedi temple was overwhelmed, eventually. There may have been individual Masters that excelled, surviving longer than most... but quantity has a quality all of its own. Plus I imagine any particularly skilled masters fell to Anakin I like that, “quantity has its own quality”. As for Yoda it’s very clear, to me, that he is the philosophical Jedi master you say because all I saw was him literally channeling the force through his body to be all bouncy bouncy hippity hoppy teddy bear.
