Dengar, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss, were also used. Dengar more than the others, but that was a surprisingly deep cut for a parody show aimed at kids.

Just like the Mando, I think it’s a “man with no name” thing.

I have a pet theory that Greef Carga actually believes his first name is Mando, last name Lorian.

Very kiddie. It doesn't get into the deeper stuff until season 2. IIRC, Season 3 and onwards has the real juicy lore/mysticism exploration, but it needs the build up of the previous seasons to work.

I hope we have Yoda just talking normally and is constantly dunked on for being a bad-to-mediocre middle manager type, then tries out the weird sentence-object-verb phrasing.

As time goes on, he just outlives everyone who knew him as a dumbass dies off and everybody new just assumes he's wise because they're not too sure what he meant when he goes, "Finished the last of the recaff, have you? Signs of troubling times, these are."

I am certainly of two minds as to this development. I am simultaneously excited to see how Ahsoka would translate in live-action and unsure that that's the direction I'd want to see the plot go. I mean, it's Filoni, there's basically a 0% chance he could resist doing it, but I was kind of enjoying the glowstick-free Star War.

Ahsoka was just carrying a staff at the end of Rebels. It could still be glowstick-free if she clowns Darktroopers only using that, sort of like Chirrut.

A stolen tank doesn't have to be fast if only another tank can bring it down.

But Filoni and Co. do tank battles well. Like that episode of Rebels which pitched an aging AT-TE against 3 AT-ATs in a sandstorm.

It feels like he's being set up for a Zuko-style arc. His frame for identity has been shaken and while he says that's what he wants, this event is what starts him off on finding out what he is on his own.

It'd be great if that were subverted, and he just chooses to be a bad guy with or without Imperial connections. But this is a kid's show and if it worked once, well, here's to hoping they can pull it off again.
