Yeah the Yanks haven't really approached pitchers well. I was deeply surprised that Sanchez didn't swing at anything.

to give some more context to that pitch, workman had missed real bad with that pitch three times prior, he was absolutely sitting on a fastball and got fooled because he looked so bad throwing that he didnt think it would be thrown there

If the Yanks keep it close and lose I'm calling this and acceptable loss. Boston's middle relief is exposed bad and they can get to their other starters.

Sorry I don't watch MASN on the daily.

But in all seriousness I think that bullpen gives the Astros a big edge in the ALCS.

I mean, I kinda rather just get shutout by an untouchable Sale then lose a narrow one because we couldn't capitalize on a bad pen and left a bunch of people on.

But either way, yeah, if they lose the pen doesn't scare me and it's still a series.

But gently caress that. It's two runs, our pen is good, and we have big bats.

Oh agreed. They should be ahead right now but I'm trying to pace my beer consumption so I gotta tell myself something after that Torres whiff.

I also want to point out that Angel Hernandez is on this umpiring crew so looking forward to someone getting tossed when he's behind the plate.

Yankees got the benefit of the worst called strikes but it's not egregious.

This zone has been rough. Generally consistent but man it's frustrating.

Boston let them hang around and the Yankee bullpen shut Boston down. The Yanks should have won this game but it seems like they can hang in there with Boston.

Sanchez can hit low fastballs. He's had really bad babip luck, which has put him in pull mode all year. What helps him against Price is you can get around on an outside fastball if it's not 98.

I actually like Price since I've been a quiet supporter of the Rays since I lived in Durham and got to watch that young core before they made the majors. Also for game 162.

I know they're dealing with the Hicks injury but I don't like Stanton and Sanchez in order. They both strike out too often. Even throwing Gardner between them would break up that issue.

Gary’s at-bats are so telling. You can figure out usually by the second pitch if it’s gonna be an amazing, six-pitch saga with a hard hit, or a four pitch shitfest. There is never a bloop single.
