Sam ehlingers broken body stumbles into the end zone as he instantly forgets what he's just done because his brain is mush and the team lifts him up and body slams him on to saban as the clock expires in the championship game

Saban keels over from rage, the state of Alabama implodes, and so begins the 30 year reign of Texas

Buffalo lost to Army by like 30. Army isn't, like, terrible or anything but you have to be really impressed by blowing out Rutgers to rank Buffalo

Troy is fine (getting annhilated by Boise at home looks worse now but week 1 weirdness I guess) but App St is probably the Sun Belt team with a beef over not being ranked imo

If they win out they'll get into the 20s just on the record but the MWC is pretty assy, yeah.

I have a lot of thoughts and reactions to the Kentucky game. Terry Wilson's struggles and the offensive playcalling in general (Snell only gets 13 touches? what the gently caress) were bad, that field goal attempt was atrocious, but my biggest takeaway is that the defense us completely legit. Texas A&M had the ball for what felt like 29 minutes in the 2nd half, ran 70-80 plays overall, and still only gave up 2 touchdowns. I didn't think we had a chance in overtime because of how worn out they must have been, but prior to that they played one of the best games I've ever seen from a Kentucky defense. The scoop and score was the only reason it even went to overtime, because the offense sure wasn't doing anything. This team still deserves to be ranked based on the defense alone.

I think the coaches over thought the game plan. They figured everyone would know we'd come out running, so they went pass happy instead. No one has stopped the run game so far, why abandon it? Especially on that 3rd and 2 in overtime, how do you not let you best player even touch the ball. The coaches basically admitted afterwards that was the wrong call.

Still, if you had told me in August Kentucky would be 5-1 at the bye week, I'd have taken it in a heartbeat.

Ferentz is a camel. He is always chewing gum. You know he's really invested when he's chewing gum *and* leaning down on his knees.

The leaning down is taking notes. He has a little notepad in his back pocket and he makes a note every time a player does something dumb. He might track especially good plays too, I'm not sure, but it seems like it usually happens after a penalty or some other gently caress up.

He did it once as a joke after they clinched the conference and he got a Gatorade shower, which is the most personality he's ever shown outside of rants about the new cut blocking rule.

No argument here but my moon poll likes them just about as much as Korranus's does (mine LOVES Hawaii too but that is because they have an extra game).

There’s a rumor going around that Mike Stoops got in a fistfight with a player at halftime of the Texas game. Completely unsubstantiated but yikes if true.

For what it's worth there was a similar accusation(s?) when he was with Arizona.

I guess beating an SMU team with a worse record by a smaller margin is better than beating Vanderbilt, huh.

Hot take: Margin isn't important when you're winning by 4 scores.

Feels like a lifetime ago.

So does he end up derailing the UK defense next season or what? Or hanging w Pelini in Youngstown?

They already have one psycho Stoops brother on staff, they don’t need another. Besides, they couldn’t afford to pay Mike Stoops. Hell, Pelini will be gone after this year since Nebraska will no longer be subsidizing his income.

If there are any UK fans, apparently Mark is the only Stoops brother that is not a raging rear end in a top hat.

He recruited like crazy so he deserves credit for at least that. But yeah his constant rage and such was a distraction, he made Richrod look like a zen master. Also despite a reputation for defense coming in, Arizona's defenses were always bad.

Michigan State is going to go 6-6 but beat a 9-3 Michigan anyway

Also their biggest play of the game got called back because Lewerke somehow threw a ball forward despite tossing it behind his body. It was an almost imperceptible violation of a rule that never gets called so I’m shocked it happened to them and not the Detroit Lions.

There's no way that MSU isn't going to have a scripted opening drive of like triple reverse flea flicker bubble screen followed by four fullback triple option run and then a 1st down fake punt for a touchdown vs Michigan and then they win 7-6 after gaining 0 yards the rest of the game

Michigan could literally be Alabama and I'd still assume this would happen every year

Saban keels over from rage, the state of Alabama implodes, and so begins the 30 year reign of Texas

Or something like that

Seriously does Texas's only good QBs come in the flavors of either a Colt McCoy or David Ash in the concussion/injury department? Ehllinger will be probably useless later on if he wants an NFL career.

Unless he has some Homer Simpson syndrome where his head and brain meat are thicker than usual and his brain is insulated by some viscous fluid surrounding it.

I was commenting more about the implementation of his algorithm since UGA won by a larger margin and against a team with a better record. Are you familiar with Korranus’ model?

The same point similarly applies to Ohio State since they beat a team with a winning record by a fair margin. If it’s an SRS type mode other teams probably changed it or his model depends on information other than win loss and margin. Just curious. Nothing about UCF in particular. If I did something like this for work I’d be curious why that would be an output.
