OOC/Recruitment Thread Ivory Lands You were tending to the worlds before you, perhaps subjugating them or leading them to their salvation…and then a great hand grabbed you, and pulled you through the ether; you were dragged through the cosmos for eons, past sights even you had not yet witnessed in your glory, before the darkness opened up to a pristine light, and a massive ivory superstructure filled your view, with verdant landscapes and waterfalls abutting blasted earth and torn mountains, smoke belching from the volcanoes, all perched atop this structure. The hand dropped you at the fringes of this structure, and you knew others like you had been dropped in these lands. Were they friend, or foe….or was this some greater being’s design, some greater thing pulling at the strings…only time would tell. Banana Man fucked around with this message at 08:40 on Oct 7, 2018 |

Everyone As you rocket to the ground, you see the ivory superstructure below you; country sized ivory disks joined by bridges linking to a center hub, surrounded by the sea of the night sky around it. You slam into the ground, kicking out debris as a crater is busted into that section; the impact flashes into your mind the visions of the other godly beings that struck the ground at the same moment, awakening a connection between you all. You are all now linked in a way that will allow communication at all times. As you divine mind surges with this revelation, you struggle to your hands and knees, a tiny foot tapping impatiently at the edge of your vision. “Please, don’t hurry on my part,” an annoyed yet extremely tiny and cute voice reaches you. You rise, and look down to see a little hooded figure standing before you, leathery skin and bulging eyes sticking out into the light; beyond him, far in the distance, the ivory spire at the center of these lands. The creature’s odor is slightly unpleasant. “Ok ok, I’ve given this thing to a lot of folks, so let’s just be quick cause we got schedules, we got rules here, not that any of your kind care much about them.” As he talks his eyes start to slightly veer off in odd directions. “I’m Bubbles, this spot here is for you,” mumbling till you mess it up under his breath,”the next spot is through that door, the doors got rules, we ALL got rules!” He waves his hands in the air. Gasping, he turns and waves his hand over to your left (or right, or up), “Just don’t be like THAT GUY!” You see an ivory figure, long standing and features worn away by time. “There’s other ones too. Try to do better.” He leans in and lowers his voice, “Just remember, most of us don’t want to be here either, but we got a job to do right? Every machine has a cog that does a thing, so just do a thing that doesn’t break it? I guess, whatever.” He starts hacking and doubles over before regaining composure, turns to give you a blank stare and with a backwards popping sound just simply isn’t there anymore. Note that you could hear the popping sound through all the other gods’ senses simultaneously. Your senses rush to you, and you sense the land around you. You may name this land, and it becomes so. Dunrandir - Plains Your senses discover a vast and relatively mundane plain, devoid of intelligent life, seemingly unending; were you a mortal you would surely think so. Akkri Sen Tav - Star's Landing Akkri looks around the empty landscape. The unending hills are pleasant. They remind him of the place he grew up, needing olive trees and golden grass to complete the image. And birdsong, and warm sunlight, and a wind tinged with sea air. Akkri frowns. Perhaps this was farther from that than he wished. He looks again as a god, senses pouring out and swallowing the land in one bite. His attention is drawn first the edges of things. Where void meets hills. Where hills meet water around the shore of a vast shallow lake. Where the heavens have touched the land, starmetal lying scattered in a crater. Where life met death in the barrow mounds. The strange ivory statue where known meets unknown. Finally his encompassing stare draws up short against the barred door. So. Rules. Akkri Sen Tav is tempted to pit his blades against the door. What is that inanimate barrier to the first blade? But he holds back. This is a place of gods, indeed he can feel them stirring all round him, and as such its rules are deific as well. The rasp of metal drawn free from a scabbard rings out among the rolling hills. Akkri practices a strike, lost in thought. Then another and another, flowing through sword forms in a meditative trance. The practice deepens into something more frenetic. Akkri duels his own shadow, blade meeting blade unerringly. Whirling faster and in ever more elaborate patterns, always matched by the shadow on the sloping ground. Here a stroke cleaves the top from a hill, there a blow splits the earth in a small canyon. Until finally, on the shores of that shallow lake, Akkri is quicker than his own shadow and plunges the sword into its side, unchallenged by the shadow's own blade. From the peirced shadow pour the first of the Kathrakos, the flat folk. Living shadows, their forms shift upon the ground and they writhe, in dire need of nourishment. Only Akkri's divine senses allow him to feel the slight vibrations on the ground, mewling calls of hunger. Akkri duels his own shadow (Cutting +4) to spill its blood and create the larval Kathrakos. Dunrandin - The Everplains The mighty Overking, now humbled in a way that even he never expected, picked himself up out of the dust and patted out his yellow robes. He surveyed the near-endless sea of grasses and while there were signs of ancient habitation there was no intelligent life. But life, uh, finds a way. There must be something here. Something he could bend to his will. There was a strange flicker, as though the universe itself blinked in just one spot, and Dunrandin stood before the ivory figure. He could taste the faint divine energies that came from the thing, was it the corpse of another god perhaps? He resisted the urge to reach out and pulverize it. "I don't suppose you speak," he said to the snake. "That would probably be asking too much." There is another flicker and Dunrandin stands before the door. The sign was a challenge. He reached out and tried to open the door. Let's see how far hubris can take me. First godly turn, open the door! Edit: Forgot a geographical feature. GRUMBOL – Farland GRUMBOL's feet touched the grasses and it began to die. With a grunt he levitated off the ground and listened to this caretaker of this world or cosmos. When the being was finished he turned to other tasks. He had been in this predicament or at least a version of himself had before. The other gods appeared dimly in his thoughts and he left them alone. For now. He was sure all would speak later. Turning towards his ivory doppelganger he strode forward towards it. In the distance beyond, GRUMBOL could see a tall, flat mesa. The tableland rising high above the plains in the distance. The doorway was an interesting conundrum. But one that could be pondered and its mystery solved later. He turned back to the ivory figure. "Wake up friend. Are you my missing arm, the being it grew, Ranok-La? Or are you another version of me? My brother perhaps from another cosmos?" GRUMBOL reached out and filled the ivory figure with his power. Only because they are so similar: Filling the ivory figure with GRUMBOL's divinity. Either to awaken it as a ally or tool. If it is another part of himself that can work too. Using Destruction [+4]. Maldrago Maldrago lands with a squish in mud. "Great. This is just great.", he says to himself, as he sits there. A beetle on a nearby leaf looks at him with what seems to Maldrago to be unwarranted arrogance. "I, the great Maldrago, to be plucked out of my home and put here, wherever here is!" He stands up, and repels the mud from him. What did the creature who tormented him while he was falling? "Don't be like 'that guy'? He walks over to the ivory figure and examines it. Who exactly was this figure? What did he do?? Examining the ivory figure. Trying to understand it, and, if it was once a man or god, what sort of man or god it was. quote:Maldrago, The Honest One

Palemdromes posted:Ran The Awful Ran - The San Sallis Hills As the strange little being disappeared with a pop, the demon Ran felt his senses return to him and sniffed carefully, his nose wrinkling. He smelled many other gods, too many to name now. He smelled that this land was ancient, the contours riven and carved by many ages and many hands. Too, he smelled that there was purpose here, in this ivory heaven, that the islands and bridges and doors and towers served some unknown design. The lawyer Ran, he thought, eyeing the locked door, abides by rules until he learns what they are, and how they may be bent to serve another purpose. So he ruffled his robes around him, checked his long fingernails for dust or dirt, and satisfied in his appearance began to pick his way carefully across the muddy farmland that smelled of domesticated beast. The kind Ran found himself standing in front of the ivory statue of a goat, majestic and four-horned, sinking into the fertile mud. He wrapped his arms around the goat, carefully, lovingly, making sure not to get any mud on his greengold robes or his wooden sandals. He placed his cheek flush with the goat's. It was cool and smooth. He licked it, long tongue flicking out and tasting the ivory. It tasted old. There was, too, a familiarity to this goat, a sadness in the memory. Could it be...? The smooth divinity fresh on his tongue, he had no doubt of it - this could only be his old friend, the king of all goats, KASHRUT! The old goat had much to answer for. Stepping back and rubbing his hands together, the great Ran clapped twice and boomed, "Awake, awake, ancient friend! What once was done is done again!" He drew upon his power over herds and his power over the laws of appeal, asking this world to grant the ivory goat life again, even a fraction of what he once possessed. It would be good to start in this unfamiliar land with an old, familiar companion - and perhaps the goat could open the door where he could not. Using Law [+2] and Husbandry [+2] to awaken the ivory goat, Kashrut. Though once a god, Ran understands that Kashrut was punished for some digression here and turned into ivory for a reason. He intends only to bring back Kashrut's physical form, intelligence, and perhaps a smattering of the supernatural - if as a demigod, this is fine, but even a large natural goat would be an acceptable outcome. If successful, Kashrut is to open the locked door and the two friends will venture into the next space together. Whoops, forgot the geographical feature. Let's say it's a massive, ancient, copper beer still, green from time and weather. a fatguy baldspot fucked around with this message at 18:17 on Oct 7, 2018 |

Speleothing posted:Avtotar, The Healer, Teacher of Medicine, Guardian of Life, The Needful Savior, The Greedy, The Prideful Avtotar - The Land of Pacheri "Hmmmph. A little more respect would be appropriate from a messenger." He looks around for a few minutes, and listens in on what the other gods are doing. If he's got the power to observe his future helpers, he might as well see who among them is clever. "Some of you asking questions that should be self-evident," he announces. "These unfortunates were surely gods. Weak ones." He flicks his finger against the centaur's weathered ear. "But are they dead, or can they be restored? And why would we want to? Those are the questions worth asking." He leaves the frozen centaur alone for now and watches a herd of miniature, waist-high elephants blunder along the base of the cliff, then nibble on fallen apples. Stupider than bugs it would seem from observation, but them and the bees seem to be the only fauna worth noting here. He would name the land after them. "Pacheri." Good enough. Should he try to be the first to escape, or the one to do so most stylishly? Not much chance of being first, if the others set about animating their statues and ensnaring squirrels. Avtotar remembered how he had started small and risen to greatness. He was comforted by tge memory, though details of the old world did seem to be fading. Already he couldn't remember how to make an MRI machine, and they had seemed so important just a month ago. Not to worry, when the mortals were ready for them, he'd know how to make them again. The God of Healing could afford to wait, worship would come to him in its own time. Instead he set to a methodical exploration of his landing area, in an ever-expanding grid. He would not wander, Avtotar did everything with purpose. Eventually, he discovered an abandoned quarry, blocks of good marble and evenly rounded column sections left as if the workers had just quit one day after lunch, packed their tools, and never returned. Were the elephants the descendants of ancient work-beasts? Degenerated to a small and stupid form by an easy life with no predators? It would not take him long to see what was out there, half the land being easily visible from atop the cliff. Hopefully there would be even a single tribe of remnants hidden away here, eating honey, apples, and pachyderm. Non-action post Everyone The land shakes around you, from a distant source. Dunrandin has attempted to open a door. Dunrandin – The Everplains The door shudders and groans, the more effort you put into it the more it resists; the land starts to quake and a shuddering slurping sound fills your ears; far behind you some of the ancient ruins topple. You pause momentarily. No domains were listed, so I’m gonna count this as a freebie infodump post. It feels like opening the door with domains would have some very bad repercussions. Maldrago – Please name your space The figure is an elderly man holding an abacus, and you sense the remnant spark of divinity within the figure. It does appear to be quite un-alive however. For a moment, curiousity turns to a bit of anxiousness, as each bead on the abacus is engraved with an ominous word: DESTRUCTION, PAIN, SUFFERING, etc. He could have been a divinity of judgement, or cruelty, it is hard to say. Chirrda – Please name your space The ivory figure tips over and thunks into the sand. What would have been a tattoo is engraved on the figure’s back, beautiful and flawless like the rest of it. You sense the remnant spark of divinity within the figure, it does appear to be quite un-alive however. This could have have been a divinity of perfection, or of horrible beauty. You see a large purple leech sucking to the side of it’s neck. It seems quite content. Avtotar - The Land of Pacheri Curiously you find your paths keep coming back to the elephants. Broken glass and tongs lead you to believe some sort of potions had been made; you know that the ends can justify the means, and a shortcut to your goal can often be taken if cautious. It almost feels like one too, so much heat and fury. Enough to kill the average mortal. But below, it's something so much more beautiful. A great blazing jungle, wide leaved trees blazing forever, billowing clouds of ash and smoke that hide the jungle from the mountains. Everything down here burns, sparks, kindles. Flowers open with gouts of flame, releasing insects made of motes of flame that buzz and hiss. Things that look like reptiles armored with ash catch them with their tongues, and make odd clicking noises. Almost like a language. Xeuna - Unnamed Hills With fortune, her unceremonious landing on the ground will not become part of the Codex of Xeuna. Some moments are best forgotten. The Scholar Goddess rises, gathering body and digity to assess her new land. Rolling hills, trees, water, life, if not yet intelligent. Seven hills and a creek - a good sign. Many great civilizations had started around seven hills. But a quick survey will not do. Xeuna gathers her powers and looks deeper into the land she's inherited, to discover the resources at her disposal. And indeed, the hills hide a fascinating secret - a skyship graveyard. Remnants of some past age, with broken masts, splintered hulls, only a few remain floating, raised just above the ground and pinned down by debris of its fellows. Fascinating, and worthy of futher study. Xeuna puts that side for the moment to focus on the more immediate question of the giant statue with the rose. The Others appear to be attempting to unlock their secrets, and she can't resist the desire to leapfrog them to the answer. Using Knowledge +4 to attempt to coax out the secrets of the statue. Everyone The distant sun burns from yellow to blue; A new divinity has awoken, Erinde, goddess of the Sun, and Oceans. Akkri Sen Tav - Stars landing From the wound they spill, few in number but ready. They speak great thanks to you, and you can see that their movements already are with purpose. Congrats! You got shadow people. They look pretty capable already. Arionhod - ??? The fort, at first appeared mostly useless; far too primitive but in a crude way rather than a tech way, you kicked aside forgotten debris, but then, looking down you see plans. The plans linked to complex mechanical devices, somehow obscured at first, but now crystal clear to you. It wasnt a fort so much as an expandable complex whos design had been stalled. Mortal hands would have taken years to realize the effort you do with a wave of your hands. Several moments of clacking later, the structure took shape, with some modifications of the original design on your end. It has all the fixings, and it smells quite nice. GRUMBOL - Farland The figure shudders before slowly coming to as the energy weaves through the ivory; it splits, revealing the darkened armor. Instantly weary, he readies himself. A trick? For a moment, it seems as you two are linked, moving as if in a mirror before slowly the effect seems to fade, each action your own. You are GRUMBOL...I, am...Ranok-La. He nods. He is much weaker than you; his divinity did not last the transformation, though he stands above most mortals. You can tell he, like you, is considering how to best use you to his advantage. Ran - The San Sallis Hills The ground rumbles as hair sprouts from the ivory, and the ivory splits seams and falls away, as Kashrut bleats a roar, kicking away tumbles of dirt and stone. Shaking off ancient mud, he stands majestic in the light. With a groan, he farts; small birds fly away from distant trees. Leaning down into a somewhat sleepy daze, he sniffs at the copper still. His ears prick and he turns. Nodding, The Humble Ran, thank you. His divinity did not survive the transformation, but he is stronger than most mortals. Chirrda - Blazesand Desert Your courage, at first given to the figure was caught by a light hand, the dragged down; soon your courage became your defense as the divine figure roared to life, it was as if she had been waiting for this for a long time; the ivory shatters and a blinding light emerges from the form. I am Erinde, Chirrda. Thank you for rescuing me. Her words carry a cruelty with them. Now, help me open this door. Dundrandin - Everplains The divinity is within it, and it cowers away from your power. Answers demanded, answers given. https://media.giphy.com/media/74OhY9HiyDddCvPtgf/giphy.gif Slightly different action than what others had gone with in regards to their ivory dudes, Ill work this one like this: You can ask it 3 questions which Ill answer in detail, get a single +2 Snake bonus to a future roll, and then the remnants of this guy are snuffed out at your option. Avtotar - Land of the Pacheri The healing reaches deep into the mind of the tiny elephant before you; slowly bonds between neurons that were less useful for eating branches are restored, and fragmented memories form. The transformation into their current form appeared to be too much for your efforts, so you redoubled your own, suiting their current mind to their current bodies. They are healed! In a fashion. They might not be able to return necessarily to exactly their old lives, but theyre as smart as they were (with fragmented memories). They could certainly relearn the tool use they had before pretty easily, adapted to their current form of course. Maldrago - The Swamp Sometimes a gods work is driven by the pure essence of divinity; no particular focus is needed, and through will alone their effort is realized. Such is with you and the frogmen, whos forms not only take intelligence but stature of a biped. Communication, problem solving, its all there. Haamu - Land of Hue The divinity within the ivory of the dog still lingers as a memory, and memories wash toward you. Slightly different action than what others had gone with in regards to their ivory dudes (aside from Dundrandin, whos roll was similar so Im going with this), Ill work this one like this: You can ask it 3 questions which Ill answer in detail (but in vision form, so you get something you want), get a single +2 Dog bonus to a future roll. At your option, the dog can awake as a mortal creature. Ogoria Azul - Blazing Jungles of Rathiz-Aiji The survey takes some time, some plants are given wide berth due to their strangeness, others show immediate and appreciable uses; the environment is unfortunately a hostile one, allowing deep but limited niches to exploit. You surveyed countless flora (including those referenced in your post) but the most noteable that you found are among these: Ash Fungus Existing in a near limitless amount of variation, the caps that sprout range from the muted to the beautiful, subsiding on all the char they could get. As far as alchemy related properties, these represent a grab-bag of uses, and often can form a base or carrier function for tinctures (as long as the side effects arent something that is worried about). Castlewort Part plant and part natural rock configuration, this flowering vine forms large structures that resemble castles, pulling minerals from the ground in its (very slow) growth. The structures that are formed resemble towers, but again natural variation abounds. Shavings of this can be used in many brews ranging from those meant to freeze to things meant to reinforce or strengthen. That being said, the roots are shallow, and it often spreads by getting too topheavy and rolling off of a cliff to root again. Skullvine A ropey vine that lashes out to eat small critters that run by; this plant has no intelligence, only a rudimentary sense of movement. The vine over the years has a root ball that resembles a skull due to attempts to digest tumbling rock matter, aiding in its structure. Clips of its thorns can be used in curses and hexes. Xeuna - Unnamed Hills The Knowledge flows from you into the giant, but.whats this...its not the giant at all that has the remnants. It is the rose that it holds; memories and feelings bubble up out of it, washing over you. Going with similar info dump vs awakening type resolutions as rolled above for several others. Ill work this one like this: You can ask it 3-5 questions which Ill answer in detail, get a single +2 Rose bonus to a future roll. You have to either awaken the Rose, or the Giant, but only one (and you must choose).

Dunrandin - The Everplains "So, there is some life in you yet. I admit I am mildly impressed at your ability to cling to existance through sich an ordeal. Now answer me these questions three and soon into the world you may be. What is your name? Where are you from? And, most importantly, who do you serve?" Dunrandin leaves his hand on the statue's brow as he asks his questions. There was a curious emphasis on the last one, though. The implication that a wrong answer would result in annihilation. Asking my questions but withholding an action until I get some answers.

Akkri Sen Tav - Star's Landing The cries of hunger do not last long. The color of the land around the flat folk fades to black and white, leaving them sustained. Akkri considers the Kathrakos carefully. He had considered mortal helpers to be the obvious answer to the riddle, but had not known how to create life directly. It seems his divine instincts are good despite his mortal origins. As the eaters of color swirl along the ground around him, Akkri nudges the pale earth in one of the trails left behind. It crumbles more easily than it should. He's wondering if that effect alone could bring down the door when there's a murmur of shock from the flat folk. One of them has slid onto the surface of the still lake. Within the reflective surface, the Kathrakos is no longer a flat shadow but a swirling form tinged with the earth tones it had devoured from the shore. More of them glide out into the mirror bright lake. As they play, forms flowing from shape to shape, Akkri considers his next move. He's aware of the other gods' interactions with the ivory statues, but he feels no urge to awaken his skeletal dweller. Weak and seemingly a poor conversationalist. He has other plans for that one. "Come." Akkri strides off towards the barrow mounds. The flat folk follow, quick and joyous. Several ape his movements, giving him several shadows along the ground. Akkri notes that he no longer has a real one. No matter. Arriving quickly before the first of the mounds, Akkri draws a blade and splits the earth. Open the barrows (Cutting +4). Among whatever other grave gifts and treasures, Akkri wishes to provide the flat folk with skeletons to twine around and use as tools to interact with the world.

Haamu - Land of Hue Sunlight hit the flattened peaks, and within the shadow of a pebble, there was Haamu. And with him, there was a dream long past. "What to make of these vistas, I wouldn't know, wouldn't know~", he spoke with his usual jovial tone, pipe between lips twisted into the slightest of smiles, "Certainly there is a delightful zest to them, haha, wouldn't find something like that in your usual droll planetscape formed by the unthinking forces of the planes. So does that make this scenery fake? Is it naught but an illusion? And if it is, would that matter? I wouldn't know~" Haamu chuckled, more to himself than anything. "But those are questions for me to answer, old friend. And perhaps after I find answers I will share them with you as well. Friends share their memories and thoughts, after all~" "And even if you do not agree, perhaps you wouldn't mind giving me some of your own in return." "For I wonder, you see:" "Who might you be?" "For what reason do you find yourself in these strange circumstances?" "And most importantly..." "Who's a good boy~?" OOC: Asking three questions before committing to actions

The Awful Ran - The San Sallis Hills "You're very welcome, old friend!" Ran says, his voice booming. He makes a leg, bowing low, pleased with the goat's address. As the demon reaches the nadir of his bow, he feels much larger horns lock with his, twisting and throwing him bodily through the air, a whirling disc of green and gold. He lands with a dignified wet sound, the hoof-stomped mud cushioning his fall. Indignantly, he rises and shakes the offending mud off of his robes. "Wha-" he begins. "You know exactly what that was for," Kashrut rumbles, shaking his horns menacingly. The humble Ran reflects, and grins. "Of course I do," He says, shaking the last of the mud off of his robes. The greengold cloth glows brightly in the sunlight, as clean as ever. The Nimble Ran stands on wooden sandals, gathering the last of his temporarily escaped dignity. "In the interest of our interests, I will let bygones be bygones and call us even." The goat rolls his hourglass eyes. "But to the deposition! I have many questions for you, King of All Goats, so please answer as we walk." They begin to make their way to the massive ivory door, one on four legs and one on two, deep in discussion. They stop before the door. Kashrut looks to his friend calmly, knowing in his nihilistic goat-heart that what will be, will be. His deposition finished, his answers satisfied (or perhaps not!), the Grazer God nods his horned head, turns toward the hoof-marked mudlands behind them, and opens his third eye wide. With his spiritual sight, time is no longer a factor, as all moments collapse into the present. He sees herds grazing, stampeding, surviving predators and birthing young. Living the life of the herd, the life of the shepherd, the life of the domesticated. The Awful Ran claps his long-nailed hands together, weaving his fingers together, and closes his third eye in satisfaction. "I will bring your herds back, Goat-King!" He yells, as winds of power begin to swirl around the two, rippling greengold robes and white fur equally. "They deserve the same hearing as you, and they will make their case before my judgement!" He draws upon his spiritual strength, the Lord of Herds, the God of Lawyers. The mud glitters brightly under the hot sun, every hoof print outlined in shimmering light. "You are next on the stand, Kashrut, friend of demons and First Among Goats! Be ready!" The old goat snorts and shakes his head. He well remembers Ran's flair for the dramatic. Asking Kashrut some questions: Information about the lands they find themselves in. Who made them, what is their purpose, why is the goat god here? PC Action: Bringing Back the Herds, using Husbandry [+2] and Law [+2] to appeal the case of their disappearance. If they are nearby, this magic will summon them. GRUMBOL - Farland "My missing limb. When we were more of a shapeless horror. In this incarnation you are...less. But we know each other don't we. We don't lie. But we are: CLEVER. The words are like a hammerblow, distant thunder to most. A cosmic joke only the two of them might know. A throwback to the first times, when they were trapped in an empty universe they had ruined and unmade before being released into another. "We can talk as we work. As much as you can remember. How did you and other gods fail here? Who or what punished you? Oh. And how would you like to sire an entire species?" GRUMBOL begins walking but soon levitates as his footsteps keep killing the grasses and crops, they would work together. Or not. Time would tell. As GRUMBOL rose he also shrank to a more manageable size. He soon came upon an ant colony, multiple queens. A polygyn colony. "Hmmm." He pondered. He turned to Ranok-La. The chaos within you, I still sense it. You are closer to it than *I*. We will work together to change these industrious little ones. Their size and their ability to adapt. Become smarter. More clever..." GRUMBOL whispered the last. GRUMBOL and his side-kick are going to change this colony of ants into something a bit more devastating. Infusion: Destruction [+4] and the nature of Ranok-La should allow for bigger and badder creatures. Either something from the movie aliens or more sentient. Its best not to try and force any outcomes as changing something is as close to creation as GRUMBOL should be. That Mesa I have as a landmark will be a nice home for them.

Arianhod - Skinny Dick's Halfway Inn, province of Dank Hills A home away from home...assuming she could get back. That being said, the place needed a name. She recalls the most preeminent cultural landmark of her home. With a wave of her hand, signage was posted. Well, anyways, there was still much to do. The foundations laid, she needed to know more of this land, and sets about doing so. Arianhod needed to get more of a feel for the local flora and life as well. In addition, that giant hole in the ground might lead to somewhere, if she tunneled further. Non Action post Dunrandin - Everplains The essence of the being speaks to you: I am Amrakur, King of Serpents, Conqueror of the Narrow Ways, Eater of Mice Godlings; now I am King of Nothing, Lord of Ivory, Dweller-From-Within. I was plucked and dropped in this place along with the others, but others were here before us. We were tricked, and they cursed us. Now as useless statues we lay for all eternity. I serve any that frees me from this cruel existence. He sounds desperate; your threat only seems to give him a hope of salvation. Haamu - Land of Hue The essence of the being speaks to you: I am Packmaster, I led my pack to this place, a land of great expanses to run free and give chase to the lesser, but I smelled something good, and noticed my pack had gone, and the door had closed. I did not smell them anymore, and then I could not move. I am now here, but still very much a good boy. Xeuna - Unamed Hills The essence of the being speaks to you: I am the First Rose, placed by the Maker to let he know of any being that stepped within his realm, but I was plucked long ago by Krimmoth, the giant that holds me, jealous was he of the Maker’s garden. Krimmoth was similarly plucked by a larger hand, and dropped here with me. The people’s that worked the flying machines were apemen, and the Apegod that led them took them through the door, and closed it upon us shortly after we arrived. I remember nothing after that. Chirrda - Blazesand Desert The ruins are...extensive to say the least. The entire structure seemed both a living area and a massive device used to measure..the cosmos? The Ivory Lands? It is hard to say, but its very clear it had a purpose of recording star charts, with many gyroscopes and things that measured the date/time. Ran - San Sallis Hills Kashrut stamps beside you as you walk, each step shaking the ground. "I do not know who made these lands, old friend. I assume this place is meant for sport, or a test, or something like that. I am simply here because of my majesty, and my hiearchy within the grazing realms. I've been stuck in ivory for a long time, but was here before the last gods came. The rest that came with me perished." GRUMBOL - Farland He watches you as you as you speak, nods at your words. "We arrived and I had begun plotting with others, but there were some here before us; our ambitions were obvious, as they were ambitions that they had initially. They simply denied us entry. These doors weren't here before. They got ahead of us, and changed something fundamental, and imprisoned the rest of us." He looks at the efforts to create something new. Haamu - Land of Hue Canine memories flashed with honest delight, and within the shapes of a treasured psychic memento, there was Haamu. And he was clapping, as if a man might after seeing a play he greatly enjoyed. "Haha, I see you're a lover of riddles and mystery as well, my friend!" he smiled wryly, "Though I must admit I know not the answer to this one you have presented me with. A tough nut to cruck indeed, it is~" "How could it be, I wonder you see, that your pack is gone when you remember them so clearly? What are the vagaries of space or particles at play against the dreams of the divine, after all? So clearly their disagreement with you cannot be the answer~" "Indeed, indeed, I am convinced that if you merely have the resolve to believe, you will soon note that it's not like they truly ever left at all." OOC: Well it just won't do for my good friend to be alone now will it? Still, they would serve their purposes, or would, anyway, if they could be turned into something useful. It seemed almost a waste of time. Maldrago had plenty of other things to do here: explore the cave, the tree, try to understand the statue, try to discover something from that abandoned shrine, but he hated to leave things unfinished.
