No, save some so the sequel makes even more which will guarantee Maximum Carnage will happen for the third one.

If it took them until a 3rd film to merge it with the wider MCU and Spidey that might actually be alright.

I think Deadpool should get the Venom Symbiote and end up in the Star Wars universe.

They could even bring in Cloak and Dagger from the ABC show.

The editing was kind of poo poo and choppy, but Tom Hardy is great, and he basically played two characters here with gusto.

He's fantastic in Legend playing both Kray twins. I was wanting more gang violence though in that, not a love story... :/

I really find it cute and great that Michelle Williams seems so positive and warm about Tom Hardy and his performance and thus Venom. Crush.

This movie felt like a waste. Such a shame I really wanted to like it but in the end it was just a "meh".

A waste of Hardy and a really cool premise.

It's hard not to like Hardy, and Venom's design was nice.

It's fun that we've reached a point where some of the larger-than-life comic designs are being translated to the screen (e.g. Colossus and the Juggernaut in Deadpool).

But the script was horrrrrriiiiiible and the action scenes were a mess. And the movie suffered from not being R-rated.

You'd think that with such a cool property they could do something better, especially the not giving into the power of Venom bit.

Reminds me of the Transformers, cool premise, awesome budget and they accomplish to make stuff boring and unintelligible.

quote:

Venom co-screenwriter Jeff Pinker has gone on record stating that a Venom sequel is on its way, though he might not be the one writing it.

In an interview with Discussing Film, Pinker was asked about the possibility of a Venom sequel, saying "I can’t say anything other than that it is happening.” When asked if he would be writing the film, he replied “I am not. As of right now, I am not."

Earlier in the interview, when asked if Tom Holland’s Spider-Man exists in the same universe as the Venom film, Pinker replied “Without revealing anything that I’m not allowed to reveal, it is not impossible that in a future/upcoming Venom movie, Spider-Man will play a significant role."

Good. Venom rules despite Fleischer's direction, not because of it.

Rewatched this movie again with my cousin the other night and it is still mega fun and moves quickly on the rewatch. The effects look a little worse on the small screen, but it is just way too much fun not to enjoy.

I know the film got poo poo reviews but god drat I really enjoyed it and I want a sequel.
I just don't know if I want a GOOD sequel or one that's really bad but entertaining like this movie was.

I love the anti-hero 'kill the bad guys save the good ones' trope so much and this film owns

Also that last scene in the convenience store was just perfect

"We will find you, and eat both your arms and then both of your legs, and then we will eat your FACE right off your head. Do you understand? Yes, so you will be this armless, legless, faceless THING won't you? Rolling down the street. Like a turd, in the wind."

So serious and dark and gritty until the last line and I couldn't help but laugh.

Both of them, and Wes Anderson, and they have to compete to see who's directing that day like a pre-Marian reform Roman army.

Ask me about the shitty opinions I have about Paradox games!
I must hate fun because for the most part I was just tuned out.

But I did love the scene where he's really mad at his neighbour. The expression he does is just amazing.
