After you finish Twin Peaks consider playing Deadly Premonition, the unlicensed twin peaks video game.

I'd say Deadly Premonition capture the spirit of Twin Peaks better than Riverdale does, not sure who would fight me on that.

Riverdale, at least in its earlier seasons, was trying to serve up Twin Peaks with a side of Veronica Mars, and I feel like the Veronica Mars part got stronger and stronger.

I should really finish S3 of Twin Peaks... It's not like I've not got the time!

This video was on my recommended list, and it basically consists of the main cast hating on the writing in interviews. It's amazing, especially Lili.

Which is funny because the writers lost their poo poo when Sam Witwer (Mr. Chipping) criticized the writing, especially his character's bizarre death scene.

I've seen shit you people wouldn't believe. Cop cars on fire off the shoulder of I-94. I watched search lights glitter in the dark near the Ambassador Bridge. All those moments will be lost in time, like piss in the drain. Time to retch.
I'm with him on that one. I may have low standards but even on Riverdale I'm not often openly laughing at how stupid something is on this show. Chipping's death was shockingly stupid.

Yeah, I feel like if we were getting the rest of the season right now instead of...whenever they can film again, we'd be getting set up for a bait-and-switch. Him being portrayed as secretly good in this episode seems to contradict him being a regular at that shady video store. And taking a job at Stonewall? C'mon.

This episode was a fun experiment though, it just sucks it had to serve as a finale. I don't know what Jughead has against Reggie, but his role in the story was pretty funny.

The Girls/Lena Dunham winks were.... weird. Jughead getting a call from "Dina Lunham", being described as the "voice of his generation", the whole University of Iowa thing (Girls filmed half a season there). Was someone just being cute? It certainly didn't seem thematically related.

Wait, that was the finale? They didn't even get in to the snuff films?
The cliff hanger for next season is that the creepy tape people are close enough to the gang to know what Jughead was writing about? so it's obviously Charles, it was always Charles, there was never another suspect That's not a cliff hanger, that's the middle of a plot.
Also, Prom: so I assume season 5(whenever they can film it) will take place during the last couple weeks of senior year and maybe the summer after. I was starting to wonder how they were going to get around everyone going to different colleges.

It's only the finale because they shut down production due to Coronavirus. They had 3 more episodes planned and only one of them partly filmed.

Well, the virus halted filming so the snuff film plotline had to be cut short.

But yeah, of course it's Charles, I wish they would quit dragging it out.

That's a prestige TV thing - common for HBO shows and streaming shows with short seasons. Pretty much everything airing on network TV is filmed with only a couple months' lead time. Probably like ~half of all network shows are facing a shortened season this year.

The 100 pushed into quarantine to film its series finale, but only by one or two days. As far as I know a lot of other shows ended early, leading to shorter seasons (e.g. Supernatural, Supergirl, The Flash). In the case of Empire, this resulted in a shortened *final* season with no plans to actually finish, which is insane and sad and stupid. Much like the show.

I follow a few of the 100 cast on Instagram and they all confirm they were able to wrap up the finale with minimal risk. Richard Harmon posted that they all knew they were risking their health but they also knew there was no way they'd be able to reassemble to finish filming 6 months later.

The characters have stated that they're acting but my assumption is they're really killing people. Maybe they're all assuming the videos are fake because no bodies have turned up.

It's hard to tell at this point, but his I had to guess I would say yes that was a real snuff film where someone really died (maybe Mr. Honey, maybe not).

Also, if anyone knows a place where you can buy those creepy Riverdale character masks please tell me because I would love to be a bloody Betty or Veronica or Reggie or Archie or Jughead or Cheryl for Halloween.

You can just google whichever character plus "mask and you'll find creepy latex masks, probably not identical to the ones in the show, but still very identifiable and creepy, then just add some fake blood.

The whole Mr Honey is actually a good guy thing really bugs me cause my friend was basically targetted by faculty in high school because their older brother was a problem kid so obviously the second time around with this family is going to be just as bad. And no, if teachers are making your life lovely out if spite or dislike they aren't secretly saints who are looking out for your best interests.

Also still incredibly weirded out by the cast of young adults playing 16-17 year olds making homegrown but also winking at the camera "actually it's not porn" in the same season where Cheryl lifts her skirt at the camera for a musical number. I know TV has been pushing more teen sexuality in our faces but come on.
