Can the Brewers ride four bullpen arms to victory in a seven game series against a lineup that isn't hot garbage? Can the Dodgers starters go deep enough to carry them to a second straight NL pennant? Will Curtis Granderson get a chance to lose a 3rd World Series? Will Clayton Kershaw finally shed his postseason narrative? lol no, that's never going away Milwaukee Roster: Featuring two of the most hateable players in baseball, Josh Hader and Ryan Braun! https://twitter.com/Brewers/status/1050794414304579585 Los Angeles Roster: Assembled with all the care and analysis billions of dirty Wall Street dollars could buy! Have to go home and get stocked up on (CALIFORNIA GROWN) intoxicants before this get's going, so I'll leave you all with some idle stat musings on everyone's favorite narrative... Kershaw has not taken the Loss in a postseason game since the 2016 NLCS against the Cubs. Since then: He has made 6 postseason starts (and 1 relief appearance), going 4-0 with a 3.07 ERA in 41 innings. His K and BB rates are worse than his regular season marks over that time, at 7.09 K/9 and 2.2 BB/9 (3.6 K/BB). His hit rate is extremely good in this period however, with 23 H over 41 IP for a 5.05 H/9, better than he's ever put up in a full season. This leads to a stellar 0.805 WHIP, again besting his peak full season mark (0.857 in '14). His last start, 85 pitches (and only 3 K) over 8 scoreless frames vs Atlanta exemplifies this. The damage has come from the long ball, as you might expect. 8 HR, for 1.76 HR/9. His worst full season mark there was 1.18 last year (the only time it was >1).

Thanks for creating the GDT. I’ve had a shitshow of a day so making one slipped my mind.

I can't wait for Gio "4.21 ERA and 1.444 WHIP" Gonzalez to look like Clayton Kershaw against Clayton Kershaw. Also, obligatory gently caress Ryan Braun

I can't believe Gio Gonzalez is starting game 1 of the NLCS. It just solidifies my belief that whoever makes it to the WS is gonna get destroyed by the AL.
