That does look better. Still not enough of a brickhouse for ComicsGate, I'm sure. I dig the bob.

Are you just talking about the covers? There’s been a bit of contention about the covers being misleading. Either people dismissing it, thinking it’s a cheesecake book. Or, buying it because they think it’s a cheesecake book, and being disappointed. One of the rarer variants of the first issue had Felicia in a bathtub full of milk.

Not that she’s devoid of sexuality or anything. In the book she’s sexy because she’s an attractive person with a strong personality. Some people can’t recognize Black Cat/Catwoman without a zipper down below their navel.

I did think of that so had a look in a couple of comics done by different artists and both of them had a lot of cleavage, the breasts weren't as big as her head but still what I would consider big anyway.

EDIT: Took a look at a random issue (Issue 4 from September last year) and this seems like plenty of cleavage.

Frankly, her outfit looks like a combination of her old suit and Archer's tactical turtleneck.

Not, you know, saying it's bad. Just that it's what it looks like.

Well, you know, God forbid they find a female cartoon character they can't jerk it to.

I still don't care for it but it does look better in black than brown.

Note that "don't care for it" means "shrug and not think about it again", not obsess over it and demand it be sexed up 200%.

I always thought Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane came in that same wave but it was apparently a few years later.

Man, I haven't thought about that Inhuman series in ages, but then again probably few have.
Well, there were two miniseries (Mary Jane and Mary Jane: Homecoming) that came first, so maybe the first mini was part of that wave?

Oh yeah, that looks good. What show IS this?

Marvel's Spider-Man (seriously, that's what it's called, not to be confused with the PS4 game). Must admit I've not really sought it out, since it seems to be in the Dan Slott mold (he goes to Horizon High rather than Midtown, for one thing). I've seen complaints that most of the cast is some flavour of science nerd, which seems kinda boring to me.

I like it. Probably should have committed to a belt instead of just a couple pouches and the weird looking panties. I dig the cuffs and collar look.

Makes me happy when super heroes look comfortable in their costumes.

I mean that describes most superhero teamups, doesn't it? If you have an Avengers team made up of Iron Man, Giant-Man, Spider-Man, The Hulk, and Captain America, only one of those dudes isn't a science nerd. Even then Captain Britan is absolutely a science nerd.

I think that specific lineup has never been a thing, though, has it? The closest you got was Marvel Adventures (RIP), which also had a bunch of other people to balance out the team. I mean in the MCU, you just had Bruce & Tony. We're talking virtually all of the supporting cast, powered or otherwise.

I'll try and find the video that outlined the arguement.

no it's because the previous page was a big full page of her all sexy and then the gag is the "camera" pulls back and it's an ad for their new riverboat casino that Outlaw and Diamondback are showing her while she's dressed like that and Dickie interpreted that as making fun of anyone who thinks women are attractive or wants to see them drawn sexy or some insane poo poo like that

Did they put Brian in the cartoon? You'd think he'd get over with the CG people.

I'd say it was your manifest destiny not to.

Peter in that show looks like a 14 year old holy poo poo, no kidding they're not going for the cleavage spilling out of her top look. Everyone else is drawn and styled in a really non sexualized manner. It would look stupid, like she was imported from a different show for wank material. Instead her costume is adorable and actually makes sense given everyone is in high school.

Like, if it was a cartoon where everyone was based on Greg Horn art and she was in that cartoon's costume then it would actually be weird and out of place but seriously context people!

I know the CG context is more sex appeal = better than but it's so frustrating

Is it okay that I don't like either design?

Black Cat's comic book outfit is very 70s so it absolutely needs a redesign. The cartoon one reads as "woman who punches out demons at the south pole" than "cat burglar" to me. Also the split color pants look weird.

I just wanted to let you know that while I disagree with your opinion on the outfit (I like it), I very much appreciate this reference.

Cuz it's true.
